Whichever board you look at, and I look at several, some poor bugger is being ostracized (have I spelt that right Y?) for their contrarian views. Where would we be without those opinions that do do fit in with our own thinking? I for one welcome ALL views and opinions on a wide range of goods and services - it helps me reach a decision. It helps me focus on something that I may not have thought about! If I am chosing a holiday, a hotel, or anything with a large outlay I will always try and read the "reviews" and I usually start with the lowest ratings and work my way up to the 5* recommendations.
Those that write reviews/gives opinions will usually try to put over their own slant on things, their own experiences etc and that is exactly what I want to hear, not a bunch of YES MEN all agreeing with each other and trying to score points from each other.
I welcome all points of views, I make up my own mind and then trust my decisions, until proved wrong. Have a good day.

Thanks for that link Speedy - That's the sort of person every community needs - a fighter. Someone who will stand up for the rights of the people. He now has a Company (Infrastrata) who is determined to make a go of H & W - lets hope that with his Trade Union connection his eagerness to serve his people does not turn into the darker side of work relations. Lets hope everyone can work harmoniously for the benefit of all and he doesn't end up at the gates once more!!

H & W Belfast is currently our sole earner and we all have ideas about how earnings can be maximised at the shipyard. Stokey asks whether anyone knows what the present state of play is, at and around Appledore. Again there will be guesstimates about the revenue that is possible from that site - depending on MOD contract etc.
What I find more difficult to work out is whether there are any clear indications of what is possible at both our Gas storage facilities. How do we quantify potential income from these two plants . We also know about the delay in licensing at Island Magee but I am not aware that there is any info about the other - was it Barrow in Furness ??

I noticed that Tim Yeo in that interview yesterday gave Kirsty Gogan a glowing report.
He claimed she had worked closely under John Prescott - wow!!

Hi Aber, As a LTH here perhaps you could point me in the right direction. I bought in here some three months ago, not knowing virtually anything about this share , nor the sector in which it operates in. Call it a wild gamble - yes.
At the time there was strong talk of a take over - that was the attraction to me allied to the potential of a strong price increase in a very short term. Since then the price has wandered lower and I am wondering what I am doing here.
In a nutshell can you please highlight 2/3 positive aspect and and negatives that you may be concerned about.
As I said this was a pure gamble , I do not have the house at risk but feel uncomfortable that I have money out somewhere that I know sod all about.
