Worthy of a read - over the week-end!

A project to convert sewage into a zero-emission fuel is set to go ahead in Wales.
It will see biogas waste converted into hydrogen fuel, which can be used to power zero-emission vehicles.
Sewage sludge is a by-product of the wastewater treatment process - producing microbe-rich solid sewage, which can then be used as biogas fuel.
The Make Your Poo Work For You project has been awarded £60,000 by Innovate UK.
Biogas is produced by bacteria breaking down sewage sludge in large tanks and turning it into biosolids (compost type material) and biogas.
Welsh Water, which runs the project in collaboration with technology company Costain and local authorities in south Wales, said most of the energy will be used to produce clean energy.

Anybody sufficiently close to the company to ask what steps are being taken to secure the next 20 or so sites. How bullish are they, do they have interests in any particular part of the UK, do they have any pre-contracts etc etc. ?Just asking!

I was totally unaware that this last week was/is Climate Change Week, at least is was/is here in Wales. I had sent all the members of the Welsh Climate Change Expert Reference Group certain data and availed myself of the opportunity to inform them of our 'little company' here at PHE - my message was as follows - quote

Not pulling you up Paul, just trying to find the ECT share, if there was one.
Now back to PHE. I'm of the opinion that this share PHE is being played like a fiddle
and the price held in a close range. Sure, there is no need expect great things before we get some bricks on the ground
but anything under 2p is just plain daft. I can understand people selling if they need the cash and can see that as things are this is a day traders dream; however for those idle sods like myself this is a long hold. My first target price is 25p don't laugh, I don't particularly care when, but obviously the sooner the better!!. After that it must be a £1 and upwards. I think that those with the vision will be "peeling" profits here for a long long time to come. Just my thoughts while I sit here cutting my toenails!!!

I had given yellow the benefit of the doubt and supported his right to speak his mind on the PHE site. However his appearance and comment here on GGP was the last straw, he's filtered. I suppose you can get too much of a good thing!!!

Let me make this clear, I am not a Yellow apologist but believe the man/woman
is entitled to his say the same as anyone else on this board.
What I do find disturbing though is that you have contributed about fifteen posts only to
this board and almost all have been directed to ridicule Yellow's comments. You have made no effort to
post anything positive about PHE just to denigrate Yellow. You are trolling the poor fellow!
I do find that rather worrying and probably worthy of reporting and a ban from these boards.
You may be a very nice, intelligent, lonely person but your posts do you no merit sunshine.

Sharter- yes flunked on a few but learnt by my mistakes. Sitting very prettily with GGP & Solg at the mo. together with anor in demand nickel play and small-pharma - How about you Sharter - never flunked? or just a flunky?

The SP drop is annoying at best but I am nowhere near as deep into PHE as some on this board. What I have at risk is well within my ability to cope with the situation. Funnily enough while I certainly see the argument for a gradual drop in the SP and certainly have no idea how far it will got I have been in similar situations before and rather than panic sell and hope to be lower down I prefer to ride out the storm. If indeed this hits 1p as forecast by Yellow I sincerely hope it is not before 5th April or whenever the next ISA year starts. The wonga is ready!! I have done all the topping up I wish to do and will sit on my hands and suffer in silence if necessary. What Yellow has not yet stated is IF/WHEN the technology is proved by the completion of a viable plant whether he then sees a future for this share. In other words do you see a positive Yellow whether we get in ar 4p,3p,2p or the wished for 1p. As you then an investor in PHE. Your words give me no comfort but stick to your beliefs. Cheers all.

How did I get into PHE?
10 years ago I was lying on a Goan beach talking to a Mumbai businessman. He recommended a book to me "The world is Flat" by Thomas L Friedman. Topic was. - The Globalised World in the Twenty-First Century. First published in 2005 . I found this book extremely informative and interesting. Well worth a read!!

I mislaid the book before I had finished reading it and when I was on another Indian trip some five years later, I managed to find another copy - the bookseller recommended yet another book by the same author, "Hot,Flat & Crowded' release 2.0 That book was released 11 years ago and every word is even more applicable today than then.

I quote - "Climate change and rapid population growth mean that it is no longer possible for businesses, or the rest of us, to keep doing things the same old way. We are going to have to change - and fast. Here Friedman provides a bold strategy for clean fuel, energy efficiency and conservation that he calls "Green Code". It will change everything, from what we put into our cars and see on our electricity bills to how we live our lives." End of quote.

Reading this book again I am reminded of why I bought into the PHE vision - I have grandchildren. Yes, it would be nice to leave them a nice little nest egg from the proceeds of a share in PHE but I also aim to do my best to leave them an environmentally better world. Somewhere where we all pull together, reduce emissions - which overheat the planet. The benefits can be significant.
Oh yes, Peel's involvement really swayed any doubts I had beforehand.

Hi Castlep13 - I share your positive view, what has ****ed me off on this board is the quick jumping on anyone that holds a view that is not shared by the majority, and the nastiness that is prevalent here. I am no saint but I came on this board to learn something not listen to name calling infantile behaviour. Still I suppose this is what we can expect at week-ends I only hope it doesn't go on as long as this Covid lock down lasts.
