I did actually say that I was not worried what the old directors did since hopefully there would be new buyers. I don't mind whether they have kept some of their holding or not, but we don't know. Don't think it makes a difference. Also I did say that I thought the effect of the sale/non sale of Leigh Creek would only have a temporary effect and we only have till Thursday to wait. So we kind of agree. Just trying to think of reasons for the weakness in the SP. An updated interim financial statement would reassure people.

All this talk about what the previous directors have done is now all complete supposition. Once they have gone below the 3% we just don't know. There will always be sellers for what ever reason. What matters is that the long term prosects are good and if people believe that they will buy in where others have left. I am not worried what these old directors are doing. The only thing that I think in the short term may be holding us back is the doubts that may exist about the sale of Leigh Creek. We only have till Thursday to hear if its going through, cancelled or delayed. That may give a short term hit if there is a problem, since although it's not given as a value on the balance sheet, the price is probably built into the SP. After that hopefully it's onwards and upwards. It would also be helpful if the company could issue an interim financial statement so we can see where we are up to with that. Strangely the drill results seem to have taken a back seat despite the expectation that they will continue to be good. When good drill results are issued now the hardly seem to give an uplift.

Wow. Wasn’t expecting this when I turned my computer on this morning. Bit of a bolt out of the blue. My main worry had been the Leigh Creek sale not going through by the deadline on Thursday (am I right about the date?) and had thought that this was the reason for the recent dip.

Virtually all my shares down this morning. Great time to buy.

Solgold certainly has had many peaks and troughs over it’s history and if you invested on one of the peaks you certainly may have been caught out. With SML at the moment, personally I do not think we are on a peak yet, so this tempers the risk. DYOR.

Sorry! But last trade did seem to be 1.27p so not sure why it got marked down. Anyway price seamed to hold up and was stronger into finish.

Don't want to jinx it but looking like a blue finish today.

Understood that it's not the key issue, but would be a bonus. Trying to stay grounded!

Think a lot of people are now waiting on this. Expect SP will jump on sale. Good time to top up at these prices.

The MRE maybe months away., but in investing timescale that is not a long time. If you put your money into an FTSE 100 or 250 share it would probably be less risky, but the possible gains would be nothing like they are here for a few months investment. There is more risk here though, for sure.

Yes patience is required. I disagree that all those that want to buy have done.. There are new people buying all the time, some posting on here today. This will only increase as time goes on and SML's exposure increases. People want certainty and this will also increase with time. Unfortunately a lot of people investing in AIM shares want miracles and instant results, this leads to disappointment and premature selling which is what makes the price drop. Too many people try to trade for quick returns, that's what damages the SP.

Also I disagree that it is the mm's fault that the sp drops. They can have some influence, but market manipulation is illegal. The price drops if more people are selling and willing to accept lower prices.

You should only invest here if you believe in the storey.

Seems to be more buys coming through and SP is bouncing off support at 1.2p. Doesn't look like it is dropping further and could yet finish blue. Glad I didn't sell any.

People sometimes forget logic and their research. They just act when they see price movement. It's a self defeating problem. If people stopped selling the price wouldn't drop. Traders playing people.

Mm's will not be holding a lot of stock, that's not the business they are in, they are not traders. mm's like volume and quick turn over. They widen the spread on volatility to ensure they are not caught out by price movements before they sell shares on.

I do not think the mm's are the reason for the drop this morning. A few traders sell their shares on news and then some punters panic like sheep and follow, which drops the price further and allows the traders to buy back in lower. If you believe in the share you should stick and not fall into the traders trap.

There seems to be good support about 1.2p and I think the SP will move up from this base. You will notice a few posts trying to panic people about a further drop, but these posts are probably from traders now trying to lower their buy back in price to increase their profit. That's the problem with a low market cap AIM share, there are too many low level traders chancing their luck. Ignore the noise.

We need a few institutions on board tying up shares, they don't behave like this.

It’s just a few people trying to be a bit too clever selling now and trying to buy back in lower. With the spread here you will be caught out. This will quickly bounce back and finish blue. Don’t panic and get caught up in these games.

I didn’t buy my shares to day trade. I bought them for the potential here. This is on an upward path towards the MRE. What happens to the SP over a few hour or days is just noise on an upward journey.
