Don't see that new investor is likely to 'offload' more than anyone else. There will always be a cycle of existing holders selling a few as price rises, otherwise there would be no market for anyone to buy into. This is normal and healthy. Saying that I am not yet at the stage where I want to sell any at all.

Presumably the management did some diligence on the new investor prior to agreeing the placing.

Great to see new investors, but don't come on and immediately start giving advice about what's going on. The old penny stock blurb. Just look at the company fundamentals and decide whether you want to invest or not. Doesn't make any difference what the cost of a single share is.

Anxiety. Sounds like the discussion we had a month or so ago following a Motley Fool article. That was a great write up starting off like the article you posted from Yarhoo, but it ended up the same with Motley urging caution and pushing you in the direction of receiving their other great tips that you had to pay and subscribe to receive. The share price has risen about 50% since then.

Don't even think the most optimistic here think the company is worth over £8 Billion.

Now more than 3x up. Initially was going to sell a third at this stage, but with the SP rising as it is have now reassessed this. In fact more likely to add more. Just not going to do a portfolio health check on my account since will probably be told that it is seriously out of balance.

Yes mm's definitely want shares. Can get a quote to sell 3m at more than 4p. Of course I wasn't stupid enough to complete and was very careful when pressing cancel.

Think that most important thing to take from today’s RNS is continuity of progress after the MRE. The project is moving on quickly into the next phase and the SP will continue to rise and consolidate. The MRE is not the end of the story and news flow will continue with the new drilling campaign. Those hoping for a drop after the MRE will probably be disappointed and left behind.

My view is that any selling now is it’s people with large holdings just booking a bit of profit. When this dries up SP will continue to rise. A million is really not very much in a company with over 2.5 billion shares.

Really don't know why people are talking about RKH, an oil exploration company focusing on the Faulklands as far as I know. What's it got to do with SML? Got a feeling that it similar??

Really is pushing up hard against 4p today. As you say a few bigger trades going through now at this price. Once 4p goes SP could move up quickly. Maybe today will be the day!

Tungsteninvestor. Not sure if TUN is sinking, doesn't look like it to me, but maybe you should be giving your invaluable advice on the TUN board and not here.

There is plenty of scope for the SP to rise 2x to 3x in the near term.

BB, I don't see anything disappointing about the rise in the SP here. Think a little patience is needed. In the last 6 months the SP has risen by more than 1100%, its not in a straight line, there are rises, dips and flatlines where the price consolidates. This is all normal. If you look at the charts, the trend is undoubtedly upwards. I would be careful with making direct comparisons to an oil and gas explorer, every situation is different. We have not experienced a massive price spike just before the MRE yet, so see no particular reason for a dip especially when there is more drilling to come and the PFS to look forward to. Onwards and upwards.

When looking at the buys and sells listed, it is sometimes hard to see what is moving the price up. On the surface there do not appear to be any large buys coming through. As always though, with SLM, it seems to be the case that a lot is held back with delayed trade data, so you never quite know.

I think it is absolutely catching up. SML is just a step behind GMET. If you take a base of 0.3p for SML it has risen by about 1200% to today’s level of about 3.75p. If you take a base level of 8p for GMET it has risen by nearly 3000% to today’s level of about 250p. The start times are a bit different and maybe at different phases, but the GMET example shows what is to come for SML. I am not worried that we lag a bit behind, I find it encouraging to see what we have to come.

“I would guess that the market knows”, “everyone is thinking”. There you have 2 people with different views inferring that they know the market view or what everyone is thinking. No one knows and if they did they would probably be very rich. At least vampa said “guess”.

All you can do is do your reasearch and base your investment on the fundamentals. Look at the assets , the finances and comparison with piers. I know this is Aim and people will get carried away and sometimes panic, but I have give up trying to predict that. If the fundamentals are good the price will win through eventually so there is no need to get swayed by sentiment. If you think the company is a house of cards of course sell. Always ignore comments from obvious traders trying to push price one way or another.

If you look at the. SP over the past few months the trend is upwards, but not in a straight line. SP has risen (considerably), fallen and consolidated. Personally I am expecting the MRE to be very positive, how can it be anything else, all the drill results are excellent. It doesn’t matter whether the SP suddenly jumps up or not on publication since it’s not the end of the story. The uptrend though should continue though if the news is good. We have more drilling and the PFS to look forward to.

Volume over past few weeks really is very very low. Most with appear to be sticking. Any sells are snapped up without affecting the SP too much. Some are obviously happy to accumulate.

10 million yesterday for £386.6k at 3.866p. There are some large trades up there for sure. Someone must be happy to accumulate at those prices.

Doesn't really matter. Trades always roughly balance. mm's are not shareholders and will not keep large amounts of shares. Their business is fast turn over.
