The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Been quite a while since last on here, but just thought I'd poke my little nose in to see how it's all going.
PM2022. I've got to say this. What are you doing? Still in here pumping out your endless load of baseless ideas and predictions? Everything you've ever said about this company has been embarrassingly wrong from the very beginning. If you predicted summer sun, I'd turn up in a snow suit. What is you're point apart from enticing people into losing their hard earned savings? Why are you still doing this?
Ahh the good old days, when we thought we were about to turn filthy rich.
Now I know I've bashed a number of people on here for being part of what I like to call the 'Suzy fan boy association'. So I appreciate that what I'm about to say may sound somewhat capricious. I know the legacy drugs have taken time to get to the place that we all wanted, and I get that some of us feel a bit lackluster after todays news. What I will say (to the people giving her some harsh words right now) is that she is the driving force for turning this business around. Suzy is the first person to actually start getting the commercial wheels in motion on their portfolio of drugs. You may not think it's a good deal, but what I can say is that you have no idea what has been going on in the background, exactly why this partner was chosen or how much work and effort it took to get this deal in place. I'm not saying it's a great deal. I have no idea whether it's the best deal for the company. What I can say though is she and her team made it happen and I have to give her full credit for that. Not enough is known at this time and the SP is purely based on people's initial thoughts of the RNS, without further details or context, which I'm sure will come through over time. Some people may not have got their initial investment back. It's still a lot better than 6p though isn't it? Well done to Suzy and the team for giving us some progressive news and for keeping us informed as best you can. Long live Val!
Can I ask that GentlemanRogue replaces PM2022 on this board? So refreshing!
PM, of course a deal came! Virtually everyone knew this. Every thought you had beyond this was a crock of ****. You have no credibility based on all the rubbish you've come out with. Everyone is aware of this so don't give up your day job.
I think it's time for you to stop posting your garbage thank you very much. For over 6 months you've been claiming a great deal is coming "any day". You've made wild predictions with absolute deluded thinking, convincing people a deal was coming with Astrazeneca. Comparing a deal to the Redx one. Making numerous predictions with no foundations to them except whatever you can conjure up in your deluded mind. Everything you've said up to this point has been wrong. You've manipulated people to invest their hard earned money with the daily dross you send out.
Worst thing is, everyone who disagrees with you in your own words were uneducated, liars, idiots, etc.. Nobody should trust a single word that comes out of you. At least Porky is being honest with his feelings on this deal and has kept a level of respect over the past few months. Yet you're still continuing with your poisonous diatribe, with no thought for anyone but yourself.
Ding Ding!
OB, I can see you're a sensible human from your response. Maybe not a man of the people given your debt free lifestyle. I'm picturing your life right now somewhere between Gordon Gekko and 90's Charlie Sheen.
I love Val. But could it tempt me away from going mortgage free? Oow, sadly I'd have to say no for me. Interesting thoughts about precious metals.
Out of morbid curiosity. Say you got a lump sum £100k come you way and you could spend it in anyway you want, but it could only go on one thing, would you:
A. Spend it on Valirx shares
B. Buy shares, but in a different company
C. Pay off your mortgage (if you don't have one, pretend you rich bastard!)
D. Spend it on getting a second or third property.
E. Throw it into crypto
F. Get a fancy ass car
G. Go to Vegas, put it on black.
H. Other
Cheers
Early indications are an M&S hamper and a packet of pork scratching.
"Also they had mitigated some of the flaws from the trials to further increase the value of the drugs."
Proof without waffling on please.
Sorry PM, I don't actually think you're stupid at all. In my opinion, you're head is sometimes in the clouds. But that's probably the worst I can say. I just couldn't resist giving you a dig :)
Clearly most people on here aren't that stupid, as we've all chosen to invest in a bloody good company. Some perhaps a bit too early, but with good intensions and an instinct that'll hopefully see it's worth. There's a lot of venom on here. Don't really get it. If someone's trying to buy thinking it will dip. Whatever, who cares. I'm in for the long haul baby. We're all just speculating ready for some news. Happy for people to challenge others, but what's with all the "you're a t**t/w****r/t****r/a******e" nonsense?
IAR, my 12 year old nephew calls strangers pric@s online. Give me your mother's number and we'll see if we can set up a play date for you two.
There's always a risk, it's just balancing the potential reward.
The big pharma in question could decide to pull out at any point for a whole plethora of reasons. If that were to happen, I'm sure there would be other interested parties. However Val would be heading into the new year knowing cash is soon to dry out. PM, you've already argued that a deal must be imminent because they would lose their competitive edge if they tried to negotiate a partnering deal as the coffers start to run dry. If that were to happen then unfortunately they might need to look at raising more money. With the reputation Val's acquired thanks to their previous board, the share price would plummet in that situation, as trust would be at an all time low.
Before I get called every name under the sun. Guess what, this is the real world and unexpected things can and do happen. Without knowing who's the partner and what's going on in the background, I can only assume the risk of the above happening is very low. But if you start putting your blinkers on and telling people who highlight their concerns that they shouldn't be posting on these boards, for the fear they are creating. Well your narrow minded beliefs are going to get you stung one day. I will never put all my savings in Val as if the unthinkable was to happen, I'd be devastated. It may be a 1% chance, I don't care. People should look after themselves and at the same time be careful with what advise they decide to dish out. Nothing is risk free, especially when it comes to stocks!
IAR. Are all these so called "happy clappers" all your friends now then? Bless :)
This weekend I'm going to read through all SP predictions for next week. I'll list them down, double check them, walk to my local Tesco express, put them on my next lottery ticket and check them on ceefax before bed.
Since the board's predictions are all so wildly outrageous, I'm guessing they might actually be transferable to another dream making factory. Can't wait to see some blinding figures now. I know where they're coming from, don't be shy ;)
A big chunk of my portfolio is in a company that's just had a cash offer for all issued shares. That means I'll have some spare pennies coming my way soon!
Unlike a few on here, I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket. I'm thinking of increasing my investment here, however I'm struggling to figure out how good this Val201 deal is likely going to look on a financial front. Yes I know, the milestone payments, royalties, etc.
Does anyone have an example of another deal made that they believe Val201 could achieve? For me it's not about whether a deal is coming, it's more to do with how good it will look.
Drlong you big liar liar pants on fire. Long nose I guess for all your stinky wiffing drivel you come up with. Would love to see this lego made chart you have laid out on your bedroom floor, you little scallywag.
Listen now, Princess Suzy's on the sails. Time to hunker down. With the talk coming from our leaders, who would make their predictions from a blinkin chart?? Give us something more mate if you're going to try and rock the boat.
Been off for a couple of days and still seeing huge numbers posted on this chat. I was expecting us just to hunker down until pay day...sorry I mean partnering news comes.
It does worry me when Porky and PM continuously plug their god awful predictions and hunches. It feels like when you've gone to a toy shop and picked out the same toy as the kid across the road, who's 14 and still shoves pencils up his nose. Thankfully I'm still believing there is a lot of potential in this company, who do have a very talented board. Definitely feel like I've made the right choice.
Oh lord. The dreaded PM prediction's come out now. :s
Genuine question here. Who cares what's happening on this stock day to day at the moment? Why are so many of you still clapping away at a 3-4p rise, knowing it doesn't mean anything without news? All predictions posted on here in the past week have been absolutely terrible! Why do it to yourself?
