Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
VF: I think you're right, although maybe not as far down as 20p. I think with a clear strategy now taking shape with Cenkos focusing on getting commercial agreements in place and the rest of the business actively trying to expand their portfolio, I think the overall value of the business has increased.
The real value will hit when Val are contractually entitled to royalties. Until we get that news (in my opinion will be months away not days) we'll have to settle for relatively small highs like the past couple of days. But hey, I could be wrong!
Badsterman: No thanks. I'm assuming most won't get it as they wouldn't have even heard of Val.
I hear Suzy and Kevin have bought an old burger van off ebay to set up their next clinical trials, so just hang on in there.
Nice questions there Porky. I'm sending through a couple myself:
1. So Suzy. I hear you're our saviour and that our bank accounts are going to be flooded soon with lots of beautiful money. Could you give me a rough idea on when this will happen? PM keeps telling me any day now, but I've recently just bought 8 Alpacas, 5 Siberian donkeys, a Welsh border collie pup and Red Rums great great great grandaughter on finance. We're currently all sharing a two bed flat in the centre of Derby, so really need to know when I can put my deposit in for the Dorset farm I found on rightmove.
2. This latest RNS says we're looking at a new novel technology in a London university to treat breast cancer. How is this progressing and will there be a partnering any day now for this?
3. I hear Kevin and A1 are starting to meet and spot each others lifts in the local Puregym just off the A444 ring road. A1 keeps telling me Kev's form is terrible and can barely squat 120kg, but I just don't see it. Kevin, could you respond to these wild accusations?
For me this RNS makes it clear that their new strategy is now in place. Whilst Valirx as a body of scientists and experts are now focusing primarily on evaluating new technologies/innovations and progressing drug development stages of their existing portfolio. I believe Cenkos have now been appointed to become the commercial arm of the business, looking to create suitable partnering deals and market products in a way that will rally interest.
No…it doesn’t mean that a partnering deal is necessarily imminent (PM I’m looking at you here!). What it shows is that they’re getting on with business in the right way, with experts in their fields, sat where they need to be.
I think you're on to something there rb. Monty Don pruning his rose bushes has got me through some of the darkest of days. He's a top man.
Putting on my serious hat, unlike the well liked IAR I still think this is a good company and potentially great stock. Personally I think we're talking months and not days/week before we might get some good traction on it.
I've got a friend who bought into Val many moons ago. He used to read this chat and get all rallied up about his £5k turning into £50m. So much so that he'd invision his life travelling the world on a private yacht, supermodel wife Tina on his shoulder, sipping Chablis on the deck just docked up on the Saint Tropez promenade as he stared and s******ed at all the peasant walking around who never took his risk of buying into Val.
It got the better of him in the end. Sadly hes now bed ridden. Just lies there staring up at the ceiling, smiling as he journeys with his new make believe family. Just a wry word or two pop out at time to time as he jets to the Caribbean or ski's in the Alps from his own Val bought chalet. He muttered "heal" the other day. I guess his supermodel wife did get that dog she always dreamed of.
Be careful. It's a risky stock. It could happen to any of us.
Any day now *yawn*
Careful now SeorKarlos. This lack of blind optimism you're displaying is gonna get you right up on that naughty step. Dare I say it, this blatant disregard for delusion could be serious enough to warrant a whacking from the cane of conspiracy.
Repeat after me "partnering any day now", "Suzy is our saviour", "A1 is evil".
It might be a pot and certainly golden in colour.... ;)
Meow. Getting a bit feisty this message board today. Did some of you skip lunch?
PM - Based on my research, you've been wrong on almost every prediction or hunch you've ever made.
baserite - So you're not answering my question because I'm a bitter, negative nelly ex-holder and therefore you have no time for people like me. But you decide to put together a whole paragraph to explain this in detail rather than simply answer my question?
For the record I've had shares in Val for the past 4/5 months and added to it a few weeks ago. There is real potential in the company and I look forward to what unfolds over the coming months and years. What you deem as negative and blinkered, I see as trying the be realistic and not putting my head in the clouds. Feel free to continue reading and believing drivel on this chat telling us that a partnering is coming any day now, or we'll all be paying off our mortgages in a few weeks, or "this dip in price surely means it'll bounce hard tomorrow" nonsense. Feel free to dismiss any comments that lends an alternative view. Crack on.
I'm flattered Novice. For my name to be uttered with the great such as IAR is truly humbling and undeserved. Sadly I do not share DNA with him or A1 for that matter.
Sheephatch - I just couldn't help throwing out a wee bit of realism between the constant "any day now" messages getting thrown out daily. It truly breaks my heart watching you all suffer.
baserite. Okay then, here's a question for you. If you had an imminent partnering deal in place that was likely going to shoot up the price of the stock. Why would you appoint a broker at this stage who gains a warrant against a large volume of shares?
I don't see a deal around the corner if this is the case. Either they're now at the starting blocks of preparing serious meetings and negotiations, or they've been struggling to get any worthwhile potential partnerships and require outside support. Again for Cenkos it's a no lose situation. If their fee's are getting paid regardless, then this doesn't necessarily indicate they have high confidence in the products. Yes there is a big carrot for them to try and get the value of the company to head upwards. Doesn't mean there is a great belief that it will get there.
PM2022. Where's this recovery you were telling us about yesterday?
As usual, the value goes up a few percent and to you lot, it can only mean we're about to get partnering news. Next thing you know the value trickles back down without so much as a whimper from the bosses and all the comments on this feed age like a batch of month old omelettes. I honestly don't know how you guys do it to yourselves. Every day waking up with a positive outlook with delusional reasoning, only to go to bed sobbing yet again to no news.
