35p proposed offer23 Apr 2025 08:49
I see certain people are still trying to say the offer is equivalent of 85p to try and save face.
The Sidara offer is worth exactly 35p per share — that’s the cash shareholders will receive if the deal goes through. The $450 million capital injection is not part of the payment to shareholders; it’s new money Sidara is putting into the company after it owns it, to fix its finances. Saying the deal is worth 85p per share wrongly assumes shareholders still benefit from that money, but once Sidara takes control, that $450m goes into Sidara’s company, not into shareholders' pockets. So the real value to shareholders is just 35p — nothing more. Full stop. End of debate.
