Can someone explain how Sea Lion can help secure the UK energy supply ?

Surely the Oil, once it is extracted, belongs to Navitas and Rockhopper and they can sell it to whom ever they like.

Maybe, if the UK Govt. helped with funding, they could do so on the condition that they were given first choice on purchase of the oil at market price.

But UK Govt. is not in the business of trading oil ... maybe we should re-nationalise BP ?

It would seem that he asked the Energy Minister 4 different questions but didn't manage to get her to answer any of them herself.

I'd like to point out that the Falklands are more than twice as far from the UK by ship than any of the middle -eastern countries supplying oil.

I read an interesting fact today, that natural gas was first transmitted by pipeline as early as 400BC by the Chinese using bamboo. It was used to boil saltwater in order to produce salt.

Agreed, a great interview. The thing that struck me most was that they are going to need a hell of lot more money to develop Beetaloo than Empire, Tamboran and Falcon are likely to raise. They need one of the big boys to buy a share.

As wind turbine power is starting to get into trouble, there won't be enough electricity to power all the projected number of EVs and Oil and Gas will be needed for a lot longer than expected.
