HalfSovereign. The last placing was on 4th of June but what it was earmarked for seems to be for a new business, we will have to wait and see:

Novum Securities acting as sole placing agents to the company. Proceeds raised in the placing are being assigned to evaluating and potentially acquiring rights to the new business opportunities that the company has recently identified together with general working capital.'

They will probably need to raise money or share the cost with a partner, either way there will be dillution. PG seems to be into raising money if available but it may not be and the last time he did the sp fell from 22p to sub 15, the placing price. An obvious partner would be SDX but they may want more than Paul is prepared to offer as they hold the ace, namely the rig. But as they would have him over a barrel it may be the best solution.

Thanks, I think Paul could have expanded on this rather than leaving a lot of people not knowing what exactly had happened. There are still a lot of unanswered questions and until these are addressed I suppose there will be uncertainty.

Few people here like to mention what the company didn't say. The CoS was about 60%, but the word success etc was not mentioned, why not? People here were saying only a small amount of gas would be enough to make it a commercial success. The company mentioned a small work-over rig to test the well, that wasn't mentioned either. Why?

Are you saying MOU-1 was a success and met company expectations because the company never said that?

Hasiba. If this was a good result then the CEO has a very poor way of explaining it and cluelesstim is right, where are the words, 'discovery', 'pleased', 'commercial' etc? Where is the positive sentiment? And where is there any mention of the cheaper small rig that we were told would test the well if needed. All these are absent from the RNS. And as the small test rig is not required many might have assumed there was nothing to test. There was also no mention of the company actually having the funds (or not) to drill MOU-4. He was recently banging on about raising money, is that on the cards again and if so, at what price? It is all so ambiguous and riddled with uncertainty so no wonder the sp crashed.

Being completely ignorant in this matter what exactly does resolution #4 mean. Would it by any chance mean we can expect to see new shares created?

News needs to be released in an RNS, not at a meeting privvy to the few who are present at the time.

The market doesn't wait though and PRD is number one on the losers board. Does that mean it is a good result? People were hoping for something much better than some gas shows.

No, I am being honest. Did the RNS say, 'Gas Discovery'? Did it say, 'pleased'? I don't ramp or deramp. But at least I am truthful and don't pretend a bad result is a good one like many here.

If this had been a good result I think the the RNS would have included the words, 'Gas Discovery', and, 'pleased'. The market is drawing it's own conclusions as gas shows are generally associated with a duster. Not ramping or deramping, just stating facts. Maybe they will drill another but what with or is it another, 'Placing Ahoy'.

Don't be so naive, do you really think buys and sells shown are really buys and sells? No one informs LSE or ADVFN of the buys and sells, only the trades and at what price and at the time reported, this is not necessarily the time traded.

Agreed Joey, the can't give out new info not already in the RNS.

The clue is in the first paragraph of the RNS where it just says says, '... announces completion...'. A good result would have said, 'are pleased to announce the completion'. PG tries to add a sweetener later on but is really only thanking the team.

jamesbond001. This is last thing I wanted but people need to face the facts. How are they going to raise funds for another drill in Morocco? The last raise killed the sp and another will do the same again. T&T does not bring in any noticeable amount of cash and Ireland is still a hope or a dream. A duster in Morocco was always going to flatten the sp.

Or sells are reported late and are showing as buys. Down 38% at the moment.

It tells you some sells are being reported a bit late and showing as buys!
