RE: Re Topped up20 Dec 2017 14:05
Hi BB, I'd not really thought of it in those terms before but now with a million shares suppose that I could be in the top half dozen or so. It now represents a very unhealthy high percentage of my SIPP so I do not intend to make any further market purchases but would, if the opportunity arises, support any open offers or placings.
AIM shares like Bluerock often attract an unwarranted amount of negative press with many investors, including myself, having had their fingers well and truly toasted. I have put the kiss of death on many AIM stocks, but also had my SIPP almost wiped out by the likes of RBS and BT. I initially purchased BRD a few years ago at around 12p and have been watching it ever since, I basically like what I see with Adam Waugh's most recent addition of 1,714,000 shares at 1.75p being a sort of base line for me.
I may be wrong but think it was Clement Freud who said something along the lines of "any punt is unlikely to prove lifestyle changing unless it hurts a bit if it fails", which to some extent sums up my position. I may never get that new Honda motor in which case, knees willing, I'll just continue riding my bike. My biggest worry at the moment is the missus finding out that I've gone overboard on this stock, that is of course until it hopefully creeps up a bit.
Here's hoping that 2018 is a good year for all private investors out there.
Blakeney aka "A Fool on the Hill" or could it be "Golden Years", by the way Blakeney was a horse I backed ante post to win the 1969 Derby, it was stone cold last going round Tattenham Corner but found a gap on the rails and stormed home. Won £116 when I was on a fiver a week, happy days !
