Busy doing nothing (me that is !)10 Jan 2018 15:58
Just had a gander at the website re current holders :-
DIRECTORS
Timothy Leslie 7.6%
Adam Waugh 4.7%
Paul Beck 2.6%
David Facey 2.86%
TOTAL 17.76%
OTHER SIGNIFICANT SHAREHOLDERS
Mark Poole 7.2%
Spreadex Ltd 4.9%
Goldman Sachs 5.9%
Then of course we have Monday's RNS regarding the acquisition, on the 10th August 2017, of a 6.07% stake by Nicholas Sutton, the shares being held in Hargreave Hale nominees, which takes the total significant shareholder stake to 24.07%. Surprisingly BRD's website has as yet not been updated with regards to Mr Sutton's stake, and since five months have now elapsed since his acquisition his current holding may have altered either way, with perhaps further 'delayed' RNS's to follow.
Although the issue of Monday's RNS was not down to BRD, I would have expected that such a significant acquisition should have rang a bell or two, with the timely issue of a Section 793 notice being issued by the company to the nominee concerned, who then have 48 hours to respond. This leads me to the opinion that Bluerock do not routinely issue such notices, from which they could keep tabs on holders using nominee names, which can only be positive from a corporate point of view, as well as keeping their website and shareholders updated.
Although any current investments in BRD will flourish or flounder subject to future profitability, good PR, which I for one see the above as part of, can do the company's share price no harm whatsoever.
Still leaning towards "Something Tells Me I'm into Something Good" for my birthday song.
Whinge over !
