Shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic? How appropriate.
Scaffman,
I would never invest in a European shipyard, no, irrespective of who was in charge. Working in the industry, the smart money has been getting out and divesting for a dozen and more years.
Having a proven con-man at the helm doubles the jeopardy though.
Good luck...
Scaffman,
The only person who should be walking the plank is JW (as he sinks with all your invested cash in his pockets).
Kaeren,
To add, if you really work in the marine industry, I am amazed that you are excited about investing in (a) European shipyard(s) - no-one I know would go anywhere near one (I have always been here for IM).
Fairy doos, Kaeren. If I get the chance to board SeaRose, I will report back. Just missed the chance to get on one of the P&O ferries (Causeway or Highlander, can't remember which), when docked (not dry-docked) in May, as I reported at the time.
Our engineers hate being sent to H&W Belfast; apparently the place is entirely disorganised and no-one has the first clue what is going on. Bearing in mind they get sent to shipyards all over the world. We may get some work on the SeaRose - slim chance I may get on board myself.
Er, security?
Cool, I didn't realise until now that such a term existed. I had merely transposed the obvious characteristics of the most dratered poster on here (Bubblicious), being so backward, yet here we are!
Ka(e)ren,
Save the virtue-signalling for Facebook.
Oh, Drater...
The drater speaks. 11000 posts, 11000 wrong
Xenor,
I say again:
"Remember, remember - the P&O Azura"...
Si,
Exactly. This company's competence extends about as far as cutting steel for floating wheelbarrows. Navantia will be baby-sitting them all the way on FSS (although I doubt very much that HARL will have anything to do with the construction of those vessels - it will all be done in Spain, after HARL goes down the debt gurgler).
"Remember, remember, the P&O Azura..."
Mary,
We'll see...
Mary,
Taking on more staff, polishing the yards - to what end? Sounds expensive...
The dog must be hammered tonight.
Or perhaps his handler has performed the ultimate act of kindness?
Why would anyone believe a word that was uttered by the directors of this company, given their track record over the last 4 years, since the "acquisition" of Belfast was announced?
Ah, Mary, you meant "pedalling".
Am I doing it correctly? After all, the poster-boy of this board is quick to pick up on those of "low education" (oh, sweet irony).
Peddling what?
