Price rises as investors take positions.. Until a potential offer is made this won't be a 40, (or whatever), bagger. The BEST thing and what strengthens the underlying foundations is the fact that there are TWO banks involved, which have been in an RNS, so this is not just a rumour as it has to be agreed/validated by the appointed Nomad to the company. This means a greater chance of competing offers for the stake. IMO, anyone see's different, please free to chuck in you tuppennys worth by all means... after all, it's what the bb is for!

Jez, I would assume it would be accelerated...although to roughly what exact ...or even 'roundabout' date, I cannot say. BUT I'll say one thing... firstly the Russians have a man on the inside ... and Secondly, Russians/Russia are a very proud people/Country, so I doubt they're gona let an outsider, (Chinese), to outbid them on their own turf! Think they would prefer it to be in-house!

Tbh, I was gona buy back earlier this year at 0.6 range... only because it was so low, prob a mistake now as they bought in Newcrest and the sp shot up... but I was also invested elsewhere at the time. Lets hope Newcrest come to a good conclusion and take up the stake... guess a lot of patience needed with that one! tbh was quite sick of heddle interviews! lol

I was in GGP, just under a penny 2 years ago...or are you referring to the new partake with Newcrest...because 2 years ago it was Newmont,....and I bailed coz it was taking forever for Newmont to come forward with a date.. and when they finally did.. it was a no go.

Now Newcrest are involved... but as far as I'm concerned once bitten, twice shy.. I fear these delays will happen again, and tbh the sp hasn't changed much in the last 2 years. I left with a small profit...just prior to the fall, some were not so lucky!

Mac, let me put it into some perspective, I saw the RNS yesterday.. and instead of blindly sticking in cash, I did some research on the company, went through the interim report, (few RNS's), back.. THEN invested money... Okay, so this delay caused me a few bucks because the sp was already rising, but I wasn't gona stick in some cash without any research... that's baloney!!

It's simple ...READ the RNS, have a look at the company books. Look at the warrants that need to be dealt with and make up your own minds and see/think where the company is going. It is as simple as that!

I don't think you quite grasp the company or RNS... 2 major bank institutions are interested in a multi-billion dollar asset.. there could be competing offers which the company may or may not be interested in, (depending on the price), and after a majority vote. An offer has not been made yet, but it's leading to that... IF it was just the one bank, then i'd be careful with an investment...BUT 2 Major banks, is a different story as there is a very , very possibility of counter offers raising the offer price. It's an accumulate, wait and hold!

Agree, also think general market isn't fully aware yet... too much Prem/Vast and Matd goin' on. Hoping for a dip in the morning, (as is the norm with MM's), and buy some more!... then just leave it until first offer to pop!

Lots will be looking over this deal tonight and buying in tomorrow, then we have the weekend overviews/papers/news.. This is on for a MAJOR rerate...MAJOR RERATE!
