@Chengdo, probably the most level headed post on this thread, All i'm doing is safeguarding some money. Why??... because i've been in a place before where promises were made and I fell for them... That was not a fkin nice place to be and I felt like a right coont. I'd like to say I'm wiser here now.. today.

I also agree with you in saying that Alistair is an honest guy from what I can gather... but he's less a businessman and more a scientist, but his advice in financial matters will come from sharks who will end up winning regardless of the outcome since they're only looking out for themselves.

@Mr.Spacetomato.. I've always said i'm a short to medium stay investor depending on the share itself, and there's nowt wrong with that, Long investment I leave for Higher tier FT250 and above investments.. AIM long term investment are a gamble and always will be and those who believe otherwise either don't understand why AIM exists or are just simply naive IMO.. to each their own.

@Vanilla .. I've laid out my cards..how you see them is up to you, you're playing with you're cash and i'm playing with mine.. Yes i'm in a position now that will be a win win for me.. you don't see that, that's your problem! Of course I want the good news to come, that works out for me.. and will I purchase more shares if the price falls?.. very much depends on the sentiment and by how much it falls.. you'd be just plain stupid to not take advantage of it, that's how 90% of savvy investors operate.

Yes I've traded the company ...but only twice, once in the £1 to 90p range and once in the £1.20 to £1.04 range.. if you can all that swing trading so be it.. I was hedging against past pattern and it worked out!

Masterboffin, I completely understand what you're saying, But stating that we're funded for the year is as good as saying we don't intend to raise cash for this year! Also as Myles stated, it would've been made to have better sense to get the test to fruition and profits raised to fund cancer projects. I honestly don't think that Alistair is at fault here, but I think he's been strong-armed by brokers to foresee the companys future cash balance.

I won't miss any opportunity, following my plan leaves me in a win win situation and you may not see that, but as I got in the low 30's with my original investment, i'm defo not losing out! Yes I agree.. I won't make as much cash as i would've by leaving all my cash in, IF an rns lands Tuesday or whenever, but i'll now always be in profit..Rns or not.

Morning, I think the thing to understand in AIM is first and foremost ...Don't be feckin' greedy. It's up to you guys here calling Alistair, Sir Al and stuff...BUT, i'll tell you now, AIM is shark territory and as soon as you start fitting halo's before results on CEO's head...you're doomed, you can like or lump that argument!

For me the first sign or rather a reminder of what AIM is, was the raise made when we were told there was to be none...simples. Most of you now wish to overlook that fact, which is fine.. it's your cash and how you invest is up to you. Some of you have been in this game long enough to know what AIM is about, and really don't care less about the next mans investment woes, some are still learning the ropes.. and some are complete noobs and will be parted from their cash or a large percentage of it, and don't worry i'm not excluded from that scenario, for once I was a noob also, but i'd like to think i've learnt my lesson and progressed!

I also know we still have a seller here, and those that have paid for streaming or level 2, either with lse or another party will see the hourly dumps late reported and also end of day. I'm beginning to think that the results, if good will be delayed until seller is gone, I hope.

Large II's buying on the raise means absolutely Jack Sh*t to me lol... the same happened in AAOG, the company raised £12 Million, I believe at 10p with large II's participating before results, I was in there at the time, although I exited with a profit because I got in at the low pennies.. but I could've read between the lines before the raise and exited with way, way more! lesson learnt there! Another example is VAL..but i'm not bothering to tell you about that, suffice to say it was a similar story.

There are other bits of stuff that are bothering me...but we'll see how it goes. I'm going to pull some cash tomorrow yes, IF no RNS..yes most definitely, that's my prerogative as it's my cash and it's just a safeguard and i'll leave enough to make me more profit, but if I lose it... I won't need to cry about it.

Dunno tbh.. I pulled my original investment on Friday evening and some profit...so on a complete free carry now. If there was an RNS Friday morning, for me the raise would've been justified, but like I've said they've raised the £48Mil.. it's in the bank, so they're under no obligation to hurry up and release a test update.. in their own time now. I would've expected the newspapers to have some article on Avacta this weekend especially after a big raise...twice, not to mention!.. in the same day! We still have tomorrow, (Sunday).. lets see. BUT if no RNS on Monday morning, i'm pulling a good portion of my cash tbh.. this is AIM after all and i've been duped before, been round long enough not to heed rampers/derampers. Let's see what Monday brings!

Yep expecting a good day Monday coming and further through the week for HMSO!...,As we approach 15th June will see the sp climb higher. SP in pre-covid Jan was over £3, so would like a recovery to at least £1.80 or higher taking into account covid period.

Well Bazza, I expect a good week next week as Mid June approaches as physical outlets begin to open their doors, HMSO also similar position had a rally Wednesday, yesterday seemed to be a bad day for most of the markets, but Indices have done well today. Hopefully futures will set a good opening margin for Monday.

What RNS?

Bought Delarue on a tip mate...had risen 15% already when i bought.. So the advice isn't right Ian...
Rather... RESEARCH on a tip, takes all of 10 mins to do a quickie look-over finances and any sellers offloading, work out quick market value/risk...Then decide to buy or not!

I aim for approx 50% of value .. which is why I put a target of £1.40 on Delarue... but it hit true value within 2 days!

Been mostly focusing on those stocks fallen from grace and looking for recovery as Pandemic tension eases, also invested in HMSO, RPS and NRR, all of which I expect will rise to value. Managing their debt to revenue and managing funds through the epidemic. I can wait for the gradual rises, but as feel of FOMO most recover quicker. DeLarue was a blinder and wasn't expecting more than my target of £1.40... but there you go, even managed to trade it, once only though lol... didn't want to risk pushing it!

I said the same for Delarue, expected to rise to value return by the end of the week... instead it shot up to over 200% before close and further the next day.. blew away all expectations! So although I say hoping to see a gradual rise back to value here... never say never!

People don't get carried away with the ramping or deramping...stick to the facts.
Right now, the way i see it logically.. they've attained a goal of raising £45M.. which is a tantalising amount of money! I'll tell you now, if I had bought in the £1.20, depending on how many I could've bought.. I would flip a portion or all, how many people would do the same?..loads, people are looking out for themselves, simples!

Like I said before.. my biggest fear is the flipping of those shares when it's in their accounts! That will drag on the sp on top of the fact we STILL have the seller who is offloading. I was really hoping for an RNS this morning giving some positive progress with the collaboration tests... but nothing. Wait for Monday now? Results of some sort should have been issued by now.

Still not happy with the placing after it was promised there would be none, and now they've got the cash so they can take their sweet time. ...And please no feckin talk of II's have bought in, same happened in AAOG.. now it's a shell!

This is now 50/50 and we're in hope they'll release an update. I've already bagged from low 30's numerous times and traded twice so doing ok, but this is AIM..but fool me once!

Buy on the dips.... bank your profits ffs...always make sure you walk away with more than you invested!... try and aim for a free carry!

There's no regulations in AIM and the FCA will do Fk'all about it.

The placings done, nowt to be done about that now, and i'm surprised we are at 1.50, but i've been in these circumstances before and i'm on the bench... holding for now but not gona top-up unless sp falls coz i'm sure flipping will ensue at some point. Either way I've got enough at 0.33 and traded it twice from £1 and bought back at 90p and £1.20 and bought back at £1.04.. after that I didn't bother as it became a possibility I could've been locked out...tbh wish I'd sold up at £2, but like I said, lock-out was becoming a possibility!

Looking to buy more... but i'll wait a few days, i've learnt this lesson before... don't want to learn again lol. No hurry for me as it'll average me up and if I get them or not is not a bother.. it's just an extra. Worry for me is the flip that'll occur when shares come to market on the 10th.. or if forward sold, next few days!

If there were any big pharmas sniffing around...we wouldn't have needed to do a placing. Big pharmas want to see results, and if the POC test is validated, officially and scientifically, then yes I agree sniffing would be more proactive...BUT as I see it for now we have funded ourselves, considerably, i might add, for a longer run independently IMO

Yeeeah I think i'll wait till 10th of June to buy anymore shares here. Still cheesed off and miffed by A. Stewart and BoD... but can see a lot of flipping going on when shares received.. the higher the sp, the bigger the flip incentive for quick profit.

I'll just hold for now.

I have to say I do agree with Myles in stating why raise so much when they could've raised the required amount needed to finish the affirmer test project in relation to covid-19 and use the revenues from that to fund Cancer project.. Just makes more sense!...as their focus should be the POC test right now!

Forget investigation by FCA, this will NEVER happen and you're wasting your time. The mere fact it's mentioned shows peoples naivety and lack of experience in trading on AIM. I'm surprised Myles has actually even covered that topic, as i'm sure he's far more aware of this than I am... but his angle maybe that he's a substantial shareholder and should've been notified or given a heads up, but that maybe only administered in his case...not for the majority of PI's like us.
