Could do with some reassurance from Capt Cook et al , although I suspect what H.E. mgt can say is pretty limited as they do not control the company ( legally speaking ) and Mr Rose has been neutered as Interim CEO and CFO as of today, so PMO rudderless until new mgt installed. Normally Bob, when shorts reduce share price goes up, not down, so how can "this" be the start of that process , and as jen e points points out arcm will not reduce theirs until they get their heaviliy discounted new shares in any event

That's mainly down to arcm at 6 percent so no great surprise there. No knowing how this plays out until d day.

Personally I'd like these to be zero, and until this is the case we will always be subject to conspiracy and manipulation.

OIL giant ExxonMobil looks set to sell the bulk of its North Sea assets to Norwegian financiers.

The company confirmed it is in exclusive talks to sell its assets in the central and Northern North Sea off Scotland to the HitecVision private equity business. HitecVision said a deal could be signed in the current quarter.

The proposed sale comes amid a shake-up in the North Sea that has been given fresh impetus by the fallout from the coronavirus crisis.

I'm sure HE will re think zama and re unlikely to sell. Pmo were short of the readies and with shorts breathing down thier neck, rushed out a plan to pay off debt to assuage them. Too little too late. HE can afford to abide their time and think this through, hopefully with an improved price of oil thereby maximising the long term value of zama , all being well.

With rkh and pmo so intertwined, and as rkh has no debt with a tiny m cap, why dont HE buy them out and take all the benefit of sea lion. Perhaps using proceeds from zama sale for a quicker return ?

I think the bottom is 11p ( as reached only a short while ago ) so not out of the woods yet if the worries over pandemic continue or get worse. Sorry to be pessimistic, but not much to be optimistic about atm.

Nlondon, I was told by pmo ir that I would hold the same no of shares pre take over as post takeover. However, I am not authorised to tell another shareholder the same advice so best to check with pmo for confirmation . So, In my opinion, the new share issue has been priced in plus some risk factors as you have mentioned, and maybe some more none of us know about. Squeaky bum time !

Pearl's, I agree wholeheartedly. The PR is woeful inadequate and totally underwhelming. I cant believe the magnitude of this deal compared to the media focus and attention which is almost in existent. My corner shop gets more !

None of us should be shocked at anything that goes with pmo. I think we must all be mad putting up with this punishment for so long. Meanwhile my investment in sausage rolls is baking hot!

Does averaging down mean you keep buying until it gets to zero then you have an average of nothing? Hmmm. Seems better to buy shares that increase in value so your average goes up ?
