The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) registered N13.23 billion trading surplus in October 2019. This represented an increase of 54 per cent against the N8.59 billion surplus posted in September 2019.

The report said that in October 2019, 35 vandalized-pipeline points, representing a decrease of 81 per cent from the 186 vandalized-points in September 2019, were recorded.

Out of the vandalized points, eight failed to be welded, while only one pipeline was ruptured, with Ibadan-Ilorin axis accounting for 34 per cent of the breaks, while ATC-Mosimi and other routes accounted for 23 per cent and 43 per cent, respectively.

The recent video posted on this BB showed a VLCC tanker with a name ELI Nigeria painted on her side, this is the ELI Akaso at anchor in Johor Straits, the tanker carries an IMO no of 9164847 displayed on her bridge superstructure.
(IMO numbers are unique to individual vessels that remain unchanged throughout a vessels lifetime.)
The EII Akaso has a deadweight of 310137 tons which would give the tanker a typical carrying (in our case storage) capacity of say 2 Moi bbls of oil - she was built by Samsung in South Korea in 1999 and has had several previous names and owners - J. Bennet Johnson, Phoenix Voyager, Armady Ulysses.

MM!! - I wonder how long it would take Eroton/OML18 to fill ELI Akaso - nice revenue if we can get it, as stated in the original SP Angel report we might be able to bypass NNPC and sell the oil directly onto the market ourselves - roll on 2020.

Eli Akaso - extracting more data - on closer inspection she seems eminently suitable for the Niger Delta with a shallow draft - currently at anchor in the Johore straits, hopefully as mclean91 suggests awaiting departure for Nigeria.

mclean 91 - Thanks for the updating info on Eli Akaso - have we all got the right ship here - if that is a picture of the Eli Akaso we are going to use for oil storage it's certainly not going to hold very much oil - heading for Anchorage - I suppose it could currently be pointed in that direction but it is going to take a heck of a long time to get there at 0.2 Knots and isn't Nigeria in the other direction - leaving aside the AIS data though surely from the picture shown Eroton/SLE/OF can't be the sailors surely - all rather confusing?

Blueprick In one of his more lucid and insightful postings of 25 Oct, managed to focus his "ageing brain" as he says to offer us one suggestion as to who could actually be selling - Brandon Hill Holdings of all people!
One could even go on to speculate that the buyback may provide an opportunity for "friends" of SLE/OF, such as Brandon Hill Holdings, to cash out on some of their SLE holdings via this guaranteed buyback - maybe a too good an opportunity to miss.

I hope it wouldn't be cynical of me to suggest that that the major shareholders are in fact using SLE's own interest income/cash in the bank to in effect indirectly take over the company for their sole benefit - ie maintaining the own capital investment levels whilst using the companies cash flow from interest income to mop up the shares from the small investors who are prepared to sell leaving them in total ownership without them spending a penny extra from their own pockets.

Eli Akaso currently alongside in Johore (Pasi Gudang) - just how long does it take to add control flow and metering devices -interesting to keep an eye on it now it is up on the AIS system?

Seven Energy experience sounds familiar with reference to Eroton/SLE OML18.
African Infrastructure Management seems an interesting beast with regard to acquiring assets even in the South East of Nigeria - relevant or not who knows!

He doesn't seem to engage in the mindless who is who or apply the old-style schoolyard bullying techniques to ramp the share price that is used by certain commentators on this bb.
