frus - I have come to the conclusion, over the years, that Alaric and sam 245 are both internet bots commentating only on the general basics of SLE - I draw this conclusion on the lack of perception that both show in missing the finer points of anybody's comment and also that they both spread their comments over various boards even to the extent of using the same names in their postings DUH!. SLE has substantial risks in investing in Nigeria - even the current SLE RNS points out the risks, which are very real indeed, in developing of OML18 lease - when comparing Eroton to Decklar site OML18 is in a swamp and currently needs existing onshore pipelines to carry their oil output to Barry, which have recently been losing over 90% of the oil in transit, whereas Decklar is on "dry" land and they can truck the oil to local consumers - full marks to them in setting up a supply to a Nigerian "local refinery" whilst their main ocean export terminal of choice has been offline due to port pier repairs/damages for some six months now.
No doubt as one can read in the latest RNS there are substantial risks here in achieving OF objective of developing the economic advantages OML18 given the current difficulties for getting the oil to the Barry terminal. ELI is, as OF acknowledges pumping money into the completion of the OFS unit- roll on Christmas!

Excellent news - The Federal Government is set to re-open the Trans Niger Pipeline that transports about 180,000 barrels of crude oil daily. The pipeline was shut down six months ago due to vandalism and theft on the oil export facility.
Bonny Light, one of Nigeria’s crude oil grades, is transported through the TNP to a designated export terminal.
The pipeline also serves as part of the country’s gas liquids evacuation infrastructure, which is vital for domestic power generation and the export of liquefied gas.
But the TNP was closed by Shell about six months ago after it was vandalized. This stalled the transportation of 180,000bpd of crude via the channel.

Alaric/Sam245 - and your posts depict you both as one-eyed proactive troll investors - please reread the latest RNS which cautions against bankruptcy if the Afrex Import finance fails to come through as for Redeymines encouraging recent post our heroic investor (OF) was just copying previous business models of investment that others have made when the oil majors gave up on investing onshore in Nigeria many of the new onshore opportunistic investors have in the past gone bankrupt - I.E Millenium and its Indian partners.
