RE: Why invest in this share?24 Apr 2020 16:54
Oil is of course very tempting Canary, but while you are looking and assuming you are genuine, make sure you do not invest in a stock with too much debt. I promised I'd write a re-cap of ZOE a while back but have not done so as C19 lockdown has pushed me into a month long 'holiday' from which I am just emerging.
I did learn, or I should say, re-learn one important, no, VERY important lesson a couple of days ago. I recently sold a stock at the same price I had bought it for having held it for 6 weeks or so with no action. Nothing at all. No news, nada. I wanted to buy another share instead.
The stock I sold has risen 80% over the last two trading days. I am not going to name it but it has taught one of the key lessons of investing.
If you believe in a stock, wait it out. Someone earlier in this thread alluded to the money they have lost as HNR changed into ZOE. That is true. But what is also true is that ZOE is now in the 'basement' position of that other stock I mentioned and if you wait for the news that will surely come, you will see this rise very fast on small or medium volume and 100, 200, 300% can be yours from here. I learnt my lesson on the other stock and blew a £4k win. I am going to sit it out here for my £50, £100, £150K win, thanks very much!
So sometimes it is good to lose a little something, if it teaches you how to think and to not get all in a rush and a panic.
Cheers BH
