Roger, the RPS study is to establish ( reserve estimates ) not resource, so as I see it they need the CH-1 results first to prove up the figures. ?
"The question BG was when is it likely to arrive? What is best estimate"
I think the answer is in that statement from the RNS,
"The study is likely to focus on a much narrower area of the reservoir, surrounding the two existing wells and CH-1 location that will be targeted for initial production, with the aim of defining preliminary 1P and 2P reserve estimates.Β "
So reading that, it sounds like it will not be completed until after the results of the CH-1 Well are known, so my guess is not until next year??
"RPS has been engaged to undertake a revision of their 2018 CPR to support the initial Field Development Plan. The study is likely to focus on a much narrower area of the reservoir, surrounding the two existing wells and CH-1 location that will be targeted for initial production, with the aim of defining preliminary 1P and 2P reserve estimates. These reserve estimates are expected to increase substantially as phased development and project maturation progresses in light of the results of the newly reported APT interpretation studies"
I thought I just read a post by gas lady, now it's gone
Maybe to one, with a small impatient mind
Crusty "Β Can they keep the pot boiling? Will the TPDC allow them enough leeway to keep this running until then? Will the issues with the 3D (beyond AEX's control) buy them time?"
Will they, won't they ? We can no nothing for sure, though the question I would ask is, what would the TPDC benefit from taking Aminex's licence away ? We know what the TPDC reaction was when Aminex's told them that Aminex planned to hand back the (Nyuni Area licence), the TPDC asked them to keep it and to carry on and endeavour to farm it out.
Quite telling I think.
You could bring me some back π
Yes agree Crusty, I feel my work is done here now. π
I don't know, poor Jesus laid down his life for the likes of you, you ungrateful person
Yes, just educating the committee, getting them into the right frame of mind, ready to receive the news, that the TPDC is about to invest further and participate into an even larger gas development, the Ntorya Development. π
I believe the Tanzanian Parliament opens again next week. π
So, with Aminex's 25% that's 2 TCF attributed to Aminex. Oh and then with the development licence inplace then all that resource, can be converted to ( 1P and 2P reserves) what do you make of that then Pros ?
So if the CH-1 drill is successful, we could be looking at 8 TCF of gas for the Ntorya accumulation. Gosh the mind boggles, you couldn't make it up. Lol π
As evidenced by ....
" ... that a gas development project at Ntorya could be viable with three wells, two of which have already been drilled and a third (Ntorya-3) is scheduled for drilling this year." Feb 5, 2018 RPS CPR"
"Ntorya -3 = CH-1. Six years waiting and counting"
Well it's a good job they didn't, because it wouldn't had been drilled in the most advantages location, the new site that has now been identified by the new 3D seismic results has given much more certainty and is targeting potentially an additional ( 4 TCF of gas ) i guess that slipped your notice Pros, yes, all eyes are going to be on the CH-1 well. Not long now π
Sorry RoJo, no, I was just being a wee bit facetious
Well you know what they say Crusty.
Yes Alcapone, nearly 3 months since ( gsa ) and at the
signing ceremony the government said that the development licence would be issued very soon, so I'd give it another 3 months if I was you, this is Tanzania, 6 months is very soon. π

Hey Mr, close the door behind you
There's no one here RoGo
I would strongly urge Tanzania to seek out the AEX Board on Telegram
