This provides for potential additional prospective gas volumes associated with the Cretaceous age sand units tested in NT-1 and NT-2 (Units 1 and 2) and for the possible existence of an as yet undrilled shallower sand unit (Unit 3), to be tested by the forthcoming Chikumbi-1 (CH-1) appraisal well later in the year. An upside aggregated GIIP volume for the Ntorya accumulation based on a success case in multiple stacked sands at CH-1, is estimated by APT to be up to 7.95 Tcf (approximated to a mean unrisked P10 GIIP)."

Yes absolutely prospero26, the CH-1 well if successful could prove up an additional 4.5 TCF of gas, and that's ontop of the 3.45 TCF already proved up by the NT-1 and NT-2 wells plus the 3D seismic.

Yes the CH-1 well is going to be one of the most watched and exciting wells we've had for a long time. Can't wait 😀

"Upon completion of the construction of the Ntorya-Madimba pipeline, NT-2 will be hooked up for production. Drilling contract options are presently under review for the subsequent drilling of CH-1 and the workover of NT-1. These three wells are anticipated to produce gas for the initial phase of the development."

Thanks emptyend, so if pipeline is started in say a month or so, then an end of year spud could be feasible, or would they need to crack on with preparing the CH-1 site ASAP in any case?

Are they saying, that this would be gas going straight to industries, and not the gas feeding into TPDC pipeline. ?

"China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP), a subsidiary of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is the EPC contractor for Ntorya Madimba Pipeline."

If so, l wonder as the CNPC are at present laying the oil pipeline for the EACOP project, which is due for completion next year???, are the TPDC waiting on CNPC to be in a position to release some of the plant equipment onto the Ntorya/Madimba Pipeline?

I know RoJo has his issues, but I do ha e a soft spot for him, I really don't know who or what led him astray, but I know hee will come around eventually, we mustn't be to hard on him 🙂
