well cperkin, Orca/TPDC has finally got an agreement of sorts, for Songo Songo gas to be fed into TPDC new processing plant. interesting.

"Shortly before the year end, Orca’s subsidiary, Pan African Energy Tanzania Limited (“PAET”) signed a short-term sales agreement (“Agreement”) with the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (“TPDC”) and the Tanzania Electric Supply Company (“TANESCO”) for the immediate supply of gas to TANESCO of up to 35 million standard cubic feet per day ("MMscf/d"). These additional volumes are being processed and transported through TPDC’s National Natural Gas Infrastructure (“NNGI”) and will allow TANESCO to generate increased and more stable power to meet emerging demand."

can youu elaborate on that Crusty please, they must have had permission to fix the subsurface valve and run tests at the prossesing plant

regarding the farm-out, you shouldn't be thinking so much the Aminex management now, but the Zubairs

Sorry but I think you are missing the fact that Orca/Songas has not been able to agree terms to supply gas into TPDC new processing plant plus I don't know where you get it that M&P could increase supply.

Crusty you are missing the significance/importance of the Ntorya development to Tanzania on which is dependent on the F/O, all those others you talk of, do not offer an immediate development and an increase in gas supply for Tanzania.

well, the way I see it, the farm-out was categorically conditional on the Aminex EGM vote, and I would think it highly reasonable to assume that the 2 exploration commitments wells for the Mtwara licence extension, with the CH-1 well being one of them, must had been negotiated between Aminex/Zubairs and the TPDC beforehand but being conditional that farm-out completes.

Now from the Tanzanian Gov perspective the EGM vote was not just one of the F/O Conditions precedent, but it was the one that they the Tanzanian Gov had no direct control over the outcome, (just imagine from their perspective if it wasn't passed ?) but as it was passed the Tanz Gov/Zubairs are now in full control of events and outcomes. so yes I think now the vote is out of the way the Mtwara licence will follow in short order which is crucial to move the farm-out and Ntorya development forward.

a ("sharing" of resources) sounds alright to me.

regarding the Orca Exploration/Swala Transaction, it looks like Swala are not going a head with the second and third tranche investment in Orca PAEM, but now look to be investing directly in their own exploration drilling.

yes cperkin, agree and the understanding of that ("EVERY O&G entity in Tanzania (including the "majors" Shell, StatOil and even Dodsall) is suffering the same delays and issues with License Extensions") should be balanced with the view that Tanzania will be suffering in a year or two, from a shortage of gas to supply or meet the gas demand that will be needed for their planed industrial/domestic growth. Ntorya is of national importance and the future gas demand growth curve will be the impetus to move all things forward.

we.ve done our bit, now its up to the Tananian Gov and the Zubairs. can any one reasonably belive that the Mtwara PSA will not be extended now?
