yes, good PR for the Government, the development of Ntorya is no tiny deal, at nearly 2 TCF of gas in place, it is larger than Songo Songo and Mnazi Bay gas fields, and that is before they start developing Ntorya. At this stage of Tanzania's gas domestics/industrial development the Ntorya development has the potential to be transformational for them.

So if it is now the case and it has become apparent within the management of ARA/AEX/Zubair, that the Government of Tanzania will ( for what ever reason) not be issuing the approval for the farm-out in a timeframe, that would allow ARA to conduct the PSA license work-program, then would this not be reason enough or indeed is there any reason to stop ARA from taking over Aminex and there-by gaining full control of the Mtwara PSA license ??

well i take the opposite view Crusty and say, if Magafuli wants to be reelected, then he will need to show that he and his Gov are making big progress in boosting the country’s economy and he could do no better than announcing the Ruvuma farm-out to ARA/Zubair with its potential large gas development to meet the Country's future energy needs, soonish to make maximum political gain.
