i think you might be being to negative Crusty, as i'v seen it and followed it over the years, and i know it hasn't gone swimmingly, but they did get the 25 year (KN development license) + GSA, and with the support of the Zubair's they did get NT-2 appraisal well drilled which further proved up nearly 2 tcf of gas, then the long awaited Farm-out was agreed, plus and more recently the (all important) Ruvuma PSA license was extended, so it seems to me that most of what they have perused they eventually get. so i would not be so pessimistic regarding the ministry signing off the farm-out, nor indeed their endeavor to bring about a partner/merger.

i don't know about grasping at straws Crusty, i do try to say things that are thought provoking or to stimulate debate.

i wonder how the merger is progressing? and whether all is being stalled so that the share price and company value is set and determined, to encourage or give incentive for an asset share deal merger ?? Once the Farm-out is announced the share price/company value doubles, so are we being held in abeyance for the deal to be worked through ?

(Ruvuma Farm-Out Update)
Aminex announces that the parties to the Ruvuma Farm-Out Agreement have agreed to extend the long stop date for satisfaction of the conditions to the Farm-Out from 31 August 2020 to 30 September 2020. Aminex and ARA Petroleum Tanzania Limited ("APT") continue to work closely with the Tanzanian Government to obtain approval for the Farm-Out.

Robert Ambrose, Chief Executive of Aminex commented:

"It has taken longer than anticipated to obtain the final approval to the Farm-Out from the Government. The Company is doing everything it can to obtain final Government approval of the Farm-Out. In the meantime, we are grateful for ARA's continued support to the Company."

i see someone picked up a million, so i don't see them knocking the chances of the farm-out succeeding, unless that is they want another mil at the same or cheaper price. Who knows, its all part of the game : )

well of course, the cheaper you can get into a potential recovery stock, the more shares you get so the more money you make when it turns. So it goes without saying, there is a big incentive/advantage to try and influence and accumulate at the lowest possible price. but once the awaited news drops and the imminence/timeframe is realized, it is then game over for those hunting or chasing the lowest share price, and the new game will begin ??
