Just out of curiosity what can IR say? I’m still in belief that the U.S is the centre of cause here. Not many sticks out there exactly flying. Until we know about the U.S there is really nothing to see here. There is alot of speculation around the boohoo property which I think is just noise. Until we get a RNS that boohoo are behind guidance…. There’s nothing much else to believe. From boohoo perspective they are most likely focused on the business. Since Morana has turned up I think he is advising BoD to control the comms as and when really needed. Wording will also be carefully crafted to not give any misinformation. Imo

Longer an online operational company. Will this make an impact to people’s lives? Are people really preferring to purchase from SHEIN? Primark? Next? My opinion is these two groups are becoming a staple brand U.K. especially and impactful in Europe / ROW to a certain point.

So MA has a history of buying out businesses very cheaply that are struggling. Boohoo group is a “gem” of a business model and set of brands. I believe MA would see this whole group fit nicely within his online and high st model. I think he is willing to make an exception for a jewel in his crown. Besides there are no clear signs that boohoo is struggling. Is there a publication to confirm this? My understanding is that the board are looking at fy25 to be the first signs of turnaround. If you look at the instagram posts of Umar / Mahmud / Aisha Kamani. There is any signs of a struggling lifestyle.

My speculation based on nil share purchases by BoD is as follows.

Behind the scenes MA and MK have striked a deal based on the following.

If MK can demonstrate a fully profitable operation with profit in U.S and Debenhams by 25. A SP offer to purchase the full business by MA at £1 per share. The caveat is no BoD purchases and MA to start building his stake from circa region 30p to then offer a “just over” triple from current SP value.

A gentleman deal has been made in principle but boohoo have to complete their side of the bargain.

Wife is happy with her 14000 shares purchased today. Average is lower for her…. I’m sure she will be an extremely happy investor in the next 6 to 12 months time.

If the company is struggling surely the bod would start selling? The IIs would start selling? The shorters would ramp back over 10%? The shorts took an opportunity because they realised the U.S will create a global headline and took their chances. Same as Barclays with their broker rating…. None of this is coincidence. All imo…. Time to let the dust settle and let’s see where we go from here

If we all start believing boohoo will sell for 40p. Let’s then all start believing asos to sell for £3.50? There is a sector wide issue…. Boohoo is not in any way singled out here.

This stock is down because it was short attacked heavily and kept low. People can either see this current SP as an opportunity to buy low or average down if it helps them. Every company requires debt to grown and expand.
