This is a market wide retail (clothing mainly) sentiment issue. Inditex is the only one I can see that improved since last year. Everyone else is still at their lows including the Zalando in Europe. When the sentiment picks up…. I reckon all of us will at the same time. This is definitely not boo vs rest of the market issue.

SHEIN should offer boohoo 220p per share. Debenhams will be excluded from the deal and sold off to Frasers. SHEIN then get the footprint and catalogue of reputable brands. Imo of course.

Thanks SCB for sharing the details from the article. My opinion is they don’t need to raise cash at all. Like you… this is a way out for the poor sods who brought into the SHEIN dream and now want out.

Cracking down in this scenario is not new. My wife who worked for Arcadia (Topshop) for many years advised Topshop used to do this a lot. Customers would buy / wear / drop on social media and then return. Topshop went as far as looking into bulk order buys and checking the likes of ebay to see who is bulk selling clothes etc. I’m a firm believer this will be “ No News “ and mostly media hype. It will soon blow over….. boohoo are taking the right measures to crack down on customers who are wasting efforts and rather sell to genuine buyers.
