Last year was a problem with logging and the bl@@dy generator.
Not sure if a contractor was named as the culprit of that fiasco
but I’m sure it wasn’t Schlumberger.

This year Gilbert’s made a point of releasing a video of Schlumberger top notch logging equipment turning up
to site.

Early Drill to total depth was a stroke of luck
(2 weeks extra for delays if any)

During drilling, drilling fluids are sampled continuously prior to arriving at shakers using the gas chromatograph looks for signatures of light hydrocarbons.

And yes I have designed such system at the splitter box
before the shakers or mud cubes (new)

Thanks for the correction.

As you know enigineers in drilling don’t know everything about everything so I am corrected (& maybe we know each other as it’s a small world in the industry )

Ask me to layout a full drilling rig and it’s auxiliary systems I can and do but often refer to operator for advice on why.
I deal with every operation contractor on a rig separately, try to understand a space requirement and operational needs
to ascertain the best rig design.

The mud returns carry the data they have at the moment
Mud separates from the gas and cuttings via the mud separator and mud shakers
Clean the cuttings up and sample the gas then off to the lab.

Most of my experience is offshore drilling and this comment
is always the case.
Cuttings always taken and sampled well before TD.
Would think they know what’s what by now

Every positive RNS and this is a fantastic RNS , we get a drop.
Wonder what happens when/if we get the holy grail RNS
