RE: merger with Char ?19 Feb 2020 16:09
I see that as unlikely. For two reasons, first judging by the posts on Chariot’s LSE stream, investors are disdainful of its management and fearful that it will run of cash in H2 2020. Second, I was at the presentation yesterday evening and I came away with the distinct impression that Mr Asher does not want to dilute shareholders; indeed he has a very substantial holding himself so why would he? He is focussed in my opinion on a sensible farm out, he did say however, almost in passing, the he might come to shareholders if a small amount of working capital is required. He did not define small. As mentioned elsewhere on the board, he spoke about the chance of success being in the P80 range. I will be staying in and probably adding to my holding in my ISA fund. I doubt that my IFA would approve of my SIPP holding a micro cap oil stock but he may, on this occasion have to be overruled!
