Nobody is going to make money on oil in the short term, unless you bought Shell/BP right at the bottom a few weeks ago.

If the industry were nationalised in the US that could happen but it is not. I think it would be hard politically for Trump to subsidise shale on a long term basis. Therefore I see a lot of the mist heavily indebted producers there going to the wall. Which reduces capacity.

Judging by the loan based economics of them I think many US shale operations could go down in the short term and may not be able to come back when conditions improve. That reduction in capacity will help to raise the price but to what level who knows. I read today that BP is looking now to be profitable at $35 a barrel, that’s a long way off the $55 they used to target.

10p for TRP is the stuff of dreams I think :-) I was musing more on a new car if it got to 1.5 to 2p!

There is also a set of slides from the February presentation on the company’s website. These contain a cash flow statement but it is out of date in both timing and oil price now.

I too agree about the bad luck OB. I have done a fair amount of research and the fundamentals seem sound to me although there is of course the basic risk that no commercial oil will be found. Asher has a very significant holding which gives him the incentive to find the co-investors to enable the drill to start. I do however think that maybe some months away now though. I didn’t buy as a quick turnaround so am happy to wait and see. 1p on farmout confirmation would of course be encouraging, the potential assuming a successful drill seems to be good.

The usual caveat applies though, I am not qualified to recommend investments and everyone should do their own research.

I am on an average of .045p, just debating with myself whether to lower that average at the current price but aware of over weighting!

A 2 to 3 bagger I can see if things go well. Not sure about 50 or 100, would pay off my mortgage though!

That would be a good idea. However, I am over 70 and had a heart attack five years ago so would like my groceries delivered but none of the three national supermarket chains near me have made any arrangements for the likes of me to obtain delivery so I risk death every time I go to Tesco to buy food, without which I would die!
They claim in the press that they are helping elderly folk but I challenge anyone to prove that they do. None of Tesco, Sainsbury or Waitrose has any facility on their website to register oneself as elderly at risk.

That happens a lot, I bought a substantial number of shares a few weeks ago which was recorded as a sell.
Like you, I have confidence in Asher, he owns about a quarter of the company so it is in his and his family’s interest. I have to say he came across as very genuine when I met him briefly at the LSE presentation in February. I will be holding and maybe buying more.

I agree with OMM, options better than taking cash out of the company.
Like everyone else, I am down a lot but looking to see if I can release some cash to buy more at these prices.
I will be here for the long run.

With everything that is going on now this will inevitably be a long haul. The fundamentals of the proposition do not I think alter, once the price of oil recovers whenever that may be.

A number of people have reported him but the moderators do nothing :-(
