Only workers that will go back are the desperate ones who couldn't find proper employment elsewhere.. unskilled which was basically 70 percent of that work force so its no surprise they have been duped l.brain cells were in short supply in alcatraz.

Is it not quite obvious were the loan and up front payments went.. the company weren't making any profit.. it went into the running costs wages, huge energy bills, purchasing of the wrong machines white elephants,Huge bonuses to clown bosses.... and then when the well went dry and GM had seen enough. The lights went out... all employees knew it was coming yet most stayed on a wing and a prayer..

The large rate of scrap your referring to was happening on a weekly basis for several years.. its was just dumped every available place...old buildings,containers outside on pallets.. but most was just straight into large skips on a daily basis... the scrap material i seen going out that factory was off the scale....no business survives that. Certainly not a struggling one. Sooner or later all the loans and upfront payments run out...he even diluted the arse out of shareholders over 3 billion in circulation for a company that size..I mean come on writing was on the wall long time ago if you actually worked there that is.

My message goes somewhat different..the guys a total bell end..treated staff like dogs working in conditions from a 100 years ago...the last thing I would call him is mate..he bled that company dry.. what money he received in loans and up front payments he spent on scrap then continued to produce scrap whilst taking not only a large paycheck but large bonuses on top of it.. shop floor staff received nothing..

Then wave a magic wand and make all the debts dissappear.. maybe even keep all the staff he cherished so much.. hey he could even pay their wages with all them juicy bonuses he gave himself and his cronies. Absolute fantasist...

With yr statements being fact and all that.. what new buildings were these that were built...I remember a new building next door that they tried to rent but got legged I wonder why you tell me oracle...as for new furnaces what new furnaces are they only new furnace was attempted to install only recently and that went well didn't it after sitting outside chilling out for two year in the sun...so come on weres all these facts oh wise one...truth is manager weren't manager they were clowns plain and simple...hopefully they are now were they belong on the scrap heap

Listen rubber johnny i know everything about this company from the beginning born and bred in kirkby am an ex employe...take it from me who is only talking facts and not spewing nonsense out there cake hole...the gaff was never ever booming..it had a massive order book because it had a great product but that dont mean sh it if u cant produce it now does it... from top to bottom it was chaos...all through them booming years as you say it was hemorrhaging cash at an alarming rate similar to yr nonsense..

My honest opinion no. That company was always going under..who leaves a million pound bit of kit out in the elements uncovered for over a year yhat should never of been purchased in the first place and expects success i mean seriously..ie the new furnace cvI5... it was run by inept mangers way out of there depth.. regarding should they of not upscaled so quickly..who knows.. due to the huge runing costs of the site and the money wasted they probably had no choice in the end they were loosing money hand over fist ... if it had the right people in the right places from the start then maybe thing

Its you who sounds like the n00b. You seriously come on here and say it eas run brilliantly what planet are you on.... I actually worked there and not only was the health and safety none existent and I mean none existent.. there was absolutely no training in place.. no process procedures and protocols.. no machine safety ie lotto lock outs. Not even a permit to work procedure... the employee facilities were non existent because management were too busy lining there pockets.. the company would not allow a union on site dose that not tell you something in itself. They were dismissing workers within two years for speaking out.. someone was going to get seriously hurt at that site and as an ex employee I for one am glad it has gone under. People can get other work jobs are out there.. that place would of done them serious damage long term due to the black carbon dust..so dont come on here johnny chatting absolute drivel about how it was run well because its pure nonsense...its was run shambolic by usless idiots bleeding it dry.
