I fully agree that it is best to not expect much from FSA. It could well be next year until we get any news on that score.

Do we know for sure that this is correct? The 29th July RNS did not actually state that. As such, I am currently working on a current store count of (approximately) 2,500 until the Company specify the modified roll-out plan. Do you have actual info that NEW stores are opening (stocking Chill) daily. If so, please share as I have obviously missed something.

Quite a balanced opinion, in my opinion.

Your investment strategy (wait for positive sales data before adding) is certainly looking better presently than mine (been adding as the sp has been falling).

I do agree with you that IF there was significant sales since 1st July to present then why not report them (as was done in period to 1st July).

Personally, I think this quarter is important. Several posters have mentioned Q to Q revenue growth, as pretty much a given. However, to achieve that, we need sales (to distributor(s)) to be in excess of $2m for July to September. If we get that, great and hopefully the start of a sp re-rate. However, if we do not get that, I can see the sp down to 19p or lower.

Not sure if you are still on Telegram ? Had a recent "conversation" regarding sales. My take was that there has probably been no sales (to the distributor(s)) since 1st July as none have been reported. However, others were adamant that ZOE (sorry CHLL) are probably not now reporting current quarter sales until end of this July-Sept quarter. Not sure who is correct in this regard.....

We do know that Final Results are due to be published before 31st August. Perhaps, any sales (to the distributor(s)) since 1st July will be included in the post-period review of these Results ?

Can you please explain the “gram metre” rule. I have heard of this terminology before but not really understood it. I see you made reference to this in your post on 4th Aug.

I see that you simply multiply the m by the g/tonne but I do not understand the significance of this. Also, what result is determined as good, very good, world class etc.

I have been invested here for several months with avg sub 8p and trying to understand a bit more about what the recent assay results actually mean.

Fully agree, exiting times ahead hopefully.

I think some were expecting a bit more PGM and copper production for the six months. I think we now understand re the PGM (planned downtime etc, capacity etc) and I think expectations were just a bit frothy so early. At least this gives a slightly lower base for production growth over the next six months.

Hi,

My take on it is that the 1,447 figures was the total copper produced to date as at 31st December 2022, the 2,026 figure was the total copper produced to date as at 30th June 2022. Reading the RNS since 1st Jan, it appears that the 240 pm started late April and the additional 150 pm was due to start in June. My conservative guess at total copper on Mikie’s challenge was 2,077 (1,447 + 240 + 240 + 50) which was pretty close to the actual 2,026.

On that basis, I would suggest that with effect from 1st July, we are currently producing approx (240 plus 150) 390 tonnes per month while we await Phase 2 of Project Roan to kick in.

Just my thoughts…

Yes, that is my thoughts. However, any downtime was PLANNED downtime (as stated in RNS). I believe that is why Dorfan was initially predicting more PGM production for this sim month period than the WHI Broker Note was predicting. Importantly the PGM target of 50k (no doubt taking into account any PLANNED downtime) was achieved.

Without checking, I cannot remember the processing PGM capacity for Inyoni. Perhaps someone can confirm. In addition, what is the current status of Windsor? I thought there was talk of this being "wound down" and all of our PGM production being moved to the expanded Inyoni plant. Am I correct on this?

I must admit I have let my JLP knowledge become a little rusty recently so always good to revisit and debate.

As regards your questions, my understanding is this (which may or may not help)...

1) This was only a six-monthly operations update. Surely, head office costs, depreciation and tax will be shown in the Final Results due in November. If you looks at 13th July 2020 Six month operations update, there was no mention of these as these were detailed in the 10th November audited Results.
2)As per my post to Sumo. The production of Chrome and the production of PGM are not directly correlated. So an increase in chrome production may not (but equally could well) be reported alongside an increase on PGM production. Was the PGM plant not affected by "planned operational downtime" for part of the period? What about the split between Inyoni and Windsor?
3) In Mikies copper prediction challenger a few weeks back, I predicted about 2,075 tonnes purely based upon reading the previous RNS. On that basis I was about bang on correct, so I do not see why others were predicting more?

Sorry, I probably didn't explain myself very well.

The PGM is, in effect, a by-product of the chrome and a very valuable one. So the low margin on chrome is largely immaterial as the main value id from the PGM.

But what I was trying to show was that the PGM is limited to the processing capacity of the PGM plant(s). So just processing more chrome (in your example quadrupling it from 750k to 3,000k does obviously increase the amount of PGM rich material we have available for processing but doesn't directly quadruple the PGM production (unless there is spare capacity to do so, which there currently is not). I trust that makes sense now? Without doubt, more chrome production is money well spent as it produces more PGM rich material for JLP to process going forward.

Chesse, I fully understand the prospects are (very) good here. I hold lots of JLP shares and am very positive regards JLP going forward.

The chrome production and PGM production are not linked. 750k tonnes of chrome does not directly produce 50k oz PGM. They are completely separate production capacities. Increasing chrome does not therefore directly increase PGM.

Tobler, not so sure re quick trade. JS was (15m) shareholder prior to listing (held 6.1%) which was diluted to just under 3% upon listing.

Agreed, on that basis, holding under 3%, NO TR1 required. The 3% stated on page 5 of Prospectus was incorrect ( his holding was rounded up to 3% NOT officially actually 3% (officially just under).

Within that link there is a further link regarding the current COVID extension rules.

So results normally due within 4 months of end of account year end (31st March) so normally by 31st July but due to COVID extended last year and this year by up to two months (30th Sept).
