Let me guess oil price is up blah blah. Ok your right oil price went up $1.67ish. However you forgot to mention it dropped $10 last week. When you posted rubbish about it going up to $125 because Biden has stopped releasing from SPR.

You also forgot to mention Biden said he will start to refill SPR when oil is in the $65 to $75 range. You know this was a single to Suadis/markets that his just set the ceiling level for oil at $75.

If it slowly creeps it way down to $65 then looks like your inflation to debt analogy has to be rejigged

Your debt analogy is more theory based like most economists. They get turned on when a future event fits their theory.
Governments and very very large corporations fit your analogy .
As future taxes pay todays debt and inflationary pressure.

Debt on our balance sheet is a very bad thing. Our interest rates are higher than inflation.

Again we are not making or seeing a return from debt we are serving it. As inflation goes higher so are associated expenditure and costs. That’s a given as we are a company who doesn’t seem to have an equilibrium we will always be chasing out tail. Don’t say our assets have gone up.

Err some of our debt is being paid back at 10% (mates rates) from memory. So I think thats still costing us more. No debt is good for a business unless theres a return on the capital. We have no return on our debt, we are serving the debt.
