I saw that corporate action a few days ago, I may have misinterpreted it but I thought this was an open offer to purchase further shares at 0.05p? I selected to ignore the offer and do nothing.
Today my original shares are showing as no longer being able to be held in an isa and I have a new holding called Supply@Me Capital PLC basic entitlement with the no. of shares at roughly a 1:7 ratio. I use Barclays smart investor.

Go easy on me when I ask this question but I’ve just received some basic entitlement shares for SYME today (with no ticker ref) and a quick Google around gives me no answer as to why. Have they done some sort of return of equity to shareholders?

This back and forth keeps repeating itself on multiple threads…
I won’t repeat what has already been said as the facts are clear but be patient, remember why you invested in the first place and if something fundamental has changed (or is going to change) then review your position. I sit here now post-consolidation and capital return in a better position with more shares and each one representing a larger % of the company than it did before. The predicted dividend yield is healthy and I’m still happy with the direction of Aviva today.
I’m no preacher and certainly no guru in investing, but this activity has worked for me. Market conditions are not great at the moment and in my view, not reflecting where Aviva should be in terms of share price post-consolidation. When it does, those that kept the b share cash should become whole in terms of £ paper value with a bigger slice of the pie.

My capital return and dividend have just been paid in to my Barclays SI account.

In contrast, I really rate the Barclays platform for my needs. At times of high volatility when people like HL and II were unable to process trades, Barclays remained fully functional. Yes dividend payments take a day or so longer than anyone else, but the platform itself is very reliable; desktop and mobile - and the fees are a lot cheaper than most. Call staff are also very helpful, no long queues to get through at any time if you need them.
It's all subjective and based on your priorities so i'm not for a minute suggesting one is better than the other, I just don't want readers of this thread to be put of the Barclays SI in case it would work for them.

Just checked Barclays and neither dividend or capital return has gone in this morning which is normal, may see it tomorrow but more likely Monday. Anyone who receives their capital return today, would be useful to get confirmation on the price per b-share they paid you.

Al4x - similar position to you, although my bulk was higher at 2.40, making my average now 3.14. That gives me a divi yield of nearly 10% if the target 31p is paid.
Only thing that makes me uncomfortable now is that it represents 18% of my entire portfolio, something I must address this year.

Yes - you should be holding more shares, therefore higher dividend payments.

I took a view that the SP is likely to rise due to the consolidation and number of people re investing their b-share capital return, so I made sure I had cash equal to my expected return and purchased using the full amount yesterday. Will it pay off? We shall see. Either way i've already benefitted in that I now hold more shares than I did for zero cost, any increase in SP is a bonus.

GS - I am the same, I even hold a position in Barclays so don't feel alone there.
It is what it is, I don't like not being able to make a purchase that I have been planning for weeks but it is out of my control - and as you say, if tomorrow is a better day then I will have gained. If not, Barclays have generally been pretty good with making sure I am whole if it's an issue their side.
Someone posted that they have used the b-share capital to purchase L&G shares - a great option to put on the table for spreading between the two companies.
Let me know if you see the new AV. shares go live on Barclays before I do, I shall do the same.

And save some others. £2k/year allowance on dividend payments get's exceeded pretty quickly vs CGT.

Nothing but good things to say about the Barclays platform other than this experience with Aviva today, very frustrating. It's gone midday and still no transactions in AV. permitted.

MrM - Did you purchase 24% of your original holding, i.e. the value of your b-shares?
Barclays are still behind and not permitting trades, just spoke to them and there is no eta. So frustrating.

Annoyingly, Barclays has suspended all trades in Aviva atm.

LTI - people are reporting that they have purchased shares this morning, does that mean those transactions are likely to be cancelled?

Barclays are showing my pre consolidation no of shares. I assume if I buy now, I’m buying at the new consolidated price so in theory, could re invest the same amount as I’ll get for B shares now at this reduced price?

I was thinking the same thing earlier eurofox - between Monday and 31st May, I assume people wont be able to re-invest their B share redemption cash in to ordinary shares. That being the case, it might be worth having some cash handy should the post-consolidation share price prove a good purchase opportunity thoughout that couple of weeks. One would imagine the majority will re-invest as soon as that cash hits their account, maybe.
