Parkez…..it’s obvious that variants will keep cropping up and boosters will be needed. As far as I am aware, the booster is exactly the same as the original vaccination but there to recharge the system. I’m not denying that. What I am saying is, that if all are constantly up to date with vaccinations, then everyone has the best possible chance to live a normal life. Testing and sequencing will still be needed to keep track of new variants. But the idiots on here don’t seem to understand that the unvaccinated spread the disease more and are the ones at the biggest risk of long term health issues or death.

DRB….you arnt getting this are you. If everyone was vaccinated, the death rates would be very much reduced and wouldn’t be 11 times the figure of unvaccinated deaths. There will still be deaths unfortunately as there are with those pre covid who had flu jabs but died of it. Nature finds a way for the few and unfortunately deaths happen.

If everyone was vaccinated, we wouldn’t need to wear masks that contain plastics and polite the water courses and are detrimental to ecology and the environment. We wouldn’t need to fine anyone at all Troublesome. Only in normal health settings would masks be needed like surgery etc. but unfortunately, 10 selfish percent of the population want to destroy lives.

The House of Commons backs the government's plan to introduce Covid passes - or passports - for entry to large venues in England, such as nightclubs, by 369 votes to 126.

The Labour leadership supported the move, but the Liberal Democrats and many on Boris Johnson's own Conservative benches opposed it.

Self-isolation rule changes for Covid contacts approved
MPs have unanimously voted to approve changing the rules so that vaccinated people who come into contact with suspected Omicron cases will no longer have to self-isolate.

Anyone coming into contact with Covid cases of any kind will be "strongly advised" to take lateral flow tests for seven days.

Valju….for months you did nothing but have ago at my negativity about Novacyt and their lack of updates (which I have been right about consistently for the whole of this year, even the share prices). You catch on 12 months later and all of sudden it’s ok for you to negative. Laughable how long it takes a lot of these LTHs to realise Novacyts management is woeful and have no interest in supporting the share price, only rewarding themselves with multi million pound bonuses.

BYP, been watching the comments unfold all morning and to be honest, none of your posts are positive, more of a negative spin on a positive statement?

Porky is always positive and imo, if generates more positivity, which I'd far rather have, than in the doldrums (and I have been down in them myself on occasion), so if you hold, then put a bounce in your statement, not a lead weight :)

DRB…..if the entire population is vaccinated, we all have good protection. Yes ongoing boosters maybe required. It doesn’t matter if someone has covid in your group as it’s unlikely to effect anyones health significantly. We don’t need to burden the NHS with cases and we therefore don’t need more beds for covid patients. We don’t need to tax the low income families more to pay for the NHS, The majority will be protected and hospitalisations from covid will be low (there will always be some cases as there are with colds and flus). That means sufferers of cancer and other routine operations can get treatment sooner rather than later rather than the ongoing delay due to the minority of people moaning about their rights over one little prick (the irony).

Your comments are as you say all about you. You come across as a very selfish individual with no care in the world for those suffering other health issues. It’s all about ‘my rights’ and some ridiculous conspiracy theory that the CCP who are taking over little Britain.

Troublesome, you must accept that all of this is driven by a dislike of parties and their politicians.

Governments have never been trusted in any country. That will never change, ever! How can it, everyone has their own conditions in life, a single retired multi millionaire will have a completely different view to a young family on low income. They will oppose each other’s views. Or a multi billion pound company will expect massive tax breaks compared to a small independent shop. It’s all about manipulation of the public and trying to steer an ideology to support the rich. It’s no different with coronavirus. This isn’t about peoples rights, it’s about manipulation.

We are talking about a worldwide pandemic never before seen in todays world. Did people really expect us to have diagnostics and vaccine development ready to take off the shelf incase something like this ever happened? Less than two years ago, there was no pandemic or covid cases known.

Governments around the world have tried to tackle a new problem and brought forward mitigating responses. These things take time, yet Joe public expected everything to be right first time.

Maybe we should start putting trillions aside and start building an outer space defence system just incase a comet or alien space craft visits planet earth.
