Bought over £35k of these between 1.5 and 1.7p listened to all the b/s from Catterson and Ogle re small shareholders. A company that should be valued way higher is being flogged off on the cheap. Obviously whilst the money is the most important thing here I`m sick and tired of all the mixed messages/ write offs bad planning etc. One thing you can be sure of is that all the directors here will be looked after. I`ve got 4k`s work left so like dcdan nursing a 20k loss willing to see what happens to the £4k I`ve got left but I`m not getting my hopes up!

Important question if this company delists and returns to market in lets say 2 years at say 10p I will still be a shareholder and then be able to sell as normal ? All big ifs and buts but is that statement true ?

Good post what you've said says it all really.the directors don't you worry will be looked after whatever.jonesey of course hopefully may have just bought these l&g shares because they wanted to offload them. Normally when this sort of thing happens the share price jumps dramatically this time it has'nt perhaps he doesn't wish to buy the whole thing.

Can someone do some guesswork behind this purchase. If this is going to be delisted then they are stuck as a shareholder in an illiquid market which as they know the news would seem to be highly implausible. Or do they know in the very short term that the price will rise and flog the lot next week or I hope are they buying in the medium term to make a lot of money in the next couple of months. Any thoughts?

The truth about the board is that they have failed to deliver over the last two years and they will do what peter jones tells them anyway.remember late last year that there were no plans to sell.the very fact that they said that shows something was up. Even when dcdan spoke to them in December it was all building for the future blah,blah,blah. Prepared to be shafted here!

Can someone answer me a few questions If pj takes over this company and delist sit what happens to our shares Can they be sold ,do they still have a value If it delisted for two years say and then came back on presumably we would still be shareholders Is there' a scenario where he can compulsorily purchase our shares I'm in this for £35k at an average of 1.7 Or could he not be trying to buy it all and the share will keep rising?(no fantasist answers to the last one please) Thanks for your views

The silence over the last few months has been deafening, which would suggest either very good or bad news. However what has been posted previously we perhaps should believe that the board are not announcing news until figures have filtered through to adjust the share price. Mind its Christmas next week so why wait until then to announce this ?

Good post it says it all really ,I won't expand my marketing base because I want to keep my half a dozen customers happy.

Although us shareholders know that they do both networking and retail sales.that interview is all about the retail side. So what if you can launch a product in 50 countries but no one has ever heard of you.yes build your capability to deliver first but this must be followed by stimulating demand otherwise you have wasted both time and effort .however lets hope this demand has stated to feed through into the figures

Interesting read but when you cut through the blurb it's almost as if the company likes keeping itself a secret. One of the big reasons for the depression in share price is lack of customers which over the last few years has not really been improved by the current marketing programmes. If xps was known more widely then it it clearly would do better as most of its fundamentals are sound. Trying to run a marketing budget on a shoestring is clearly not working and whilst nobody would wish to lurch toward massive advertising something must change.

This rise is no doubt linked to the results due in a few weeks and will probably continue!

The interims are up next month. I was quite interested to note that the expansys policy of not releasing news until it had filtered through to the numbers it a distinct change from previous years of ad hoc releases. As we have not had any news about anything for months what is the view that we will see improved numbers next month? Especially as after the Agm the board seem fully confident of decent progress.

Dcdan, without betraying any confidences and removing all the usual flannel about working hard etc which we've heard all before why do you think the share price is so low and why and when will it recover.secondly if everything looks like it's improving why are you topping up but not the board? Your views would be welcomed.

We have'nt had any news for ages the price always rises on new contracts etc. with the Agm coming up do companies release good news beforehand, can we expect anything this month?

Glad to post here on the back of good news and rather than the tedious guesswork we have been indulging in. We have a shareprice that has recovered. For the future the company seems to be refocusing is markets which is obviously good news has they have always been better at winning work here than the dismal organic marketing plans that have failed previously. In fact even when they were concentrating on the latter they were better at the former. If they now can move this forward as they already deal with a lot of massive telecoms providers then the sp should improve dramatically as news is released. Can we have some more good news Expansys !

After the rough ride most of us have had with this. I'm not really bothered why it's up but nevertheless would be interested to know.Any ideas anyone?

Anyone see in the Sunday Telegraph that Bob Wigleys Yellow Pages shares that have gone from £6 to 3p has been taken into ownership by its banks. Leaving the normal shareholders shafted, One of the reasons I bought into this was a strong and experienced management team. It seems to me that that in line with the above this share has had it. The share price is ultimately a reflection on performance and whilst we all wish it was 1p or 10p this is only wishful thinking. The other thing is this idea of marketing by organic growth when you ask people about expansys the truth is that nobody has heard of them and a decent advertising campaign would push up interest. They`ve tried the organic route and things are worse not better.. I agree that the consistent reviews and restructures they`ve had proves that this will shortly be finished as how long can you keep saying this until nobody believes you. Because fundamentally I don`t.

As I look , a sea of blue for the first time for a long time. Is the a portent for the future ?

I think generalising the recent posts that most of us are now in the wishful thinking (i.e. desperate) phase. 10% of me likes to think there will be some secret news a big new contract, better than expected eoyr etc but the truth of this is that a year ago we were getting regular good news about new contracts, link ups etc now we`ve had a profits warning and then nothing. Like Geckoman at 2p I`d be making a small profit but we are miles from it now and if you had good news to share why change the policy of the previous years and not share it. If there was good stuff coming the directors and indeed others in the "know" would be buying at this price. To conclude I think we all know the end here and the eoyr should confirm whether we should even bother posting anymore.
