Selling Tactics18 Sep 2020 12:04
I`ve (hopefully) tried to learn that selling up timing must be related to your original investment decision.
COPL being a good example.
I bought in here hoping the deadlock with with Essar would be broken. It was but we`ve not seen much rise in the price. Next thing drilling RNS, imminent, if so SP should rise. (Decide whether to hold, sell, top slice ), then wait for production.
Of course at anytime the whole thing can go tits up, be delayed, suffer from placings, suspensions etc but that the gamble as Jim Bowen would say (youngsters look this up). Daily fluctuations don`t really bother me as its the news that I bought in for and expect to make money on the back of that. When I started doing this I used to bedwet regularly and lose lots of money as a result. Now I`ve learnt to stick with the reasons that I bought in the first place and its been mostly successful.
I would add a caveat to this because its AIM. As always all RNS news is leaked before the RNS good rises the day before on no news is often a good pointer to an RNS, but most of know this already. Its having the *******s to stick with stuff thats important .
