JJ they are two different articles. I'm a little surprised they went to the analysts so early but maybe that was necessary considering where the SP is at.

Read many positives and PF and SD play down the upcoming period so certainly they keep expectations at the low end. The financial controller certainly seems to be creditable and the cost cutting is certainly in hand. The other big takeaway is the 300m is in place and built in for a worst case scenario so let's hope good trading continues, money keeps flowing in and little of that extra financing is required.

Finally it will be interesting to see how the media play it when the official results are announced next week.

The drop this morning may be associated with the wider airline drop associated with this morning news on airbus announcement via EU regs. Thankfully TC don't have any of these models flying..

I sold another portion of my portfolio to buy back in this morning. Let's see what Jet2 bookings are looking like later in the week and may buy more.

Who cares about Manchester, that's not my point. This time last year the forward bookings were very low due to the warm weather across Europe. I'm afraid Quisty you can't bury your head in the sand and tell me we're having the same weather so far this year. Let's see how the forward bookings look in the Q3 update but you can pretty much guarantee one thing and that is the bookings are going to be miles better than last years Q3 update.

Also TC suffered very badly last year in the lates market and prices were slashed to the bone. If this weather continues then they'll be no cheap holidays on the market with a flooded lates and boom for the tour operators. Looking forward to positive Q3 results.

Wake up Almo its obvious you haven't got a clue of the tour business if that's your view. The poor weather forecast for the next 10 days will drive up the cost of holidays during peak season. Bookings increase and the tour operators increase their prices and thus margins increase this weather is the perfect storm (pardon the pun!).

Margins are being squeezed hence why TC is looking to own branded high end hotel offerings such as Casa Cook. By the way if you try and book a week in one of these hotels you'll see that availability is very very limited another good sign this strategy is working.

I suspect they are going to put a hard target to have an announcement to the market for Q3 results but there's so much complexity introduced since they announced the strategic review that hitting that date may not be achievable.

It's all got complicated with Fosun coming in to buy the entire tour business. I'm now thinking TC are going to sell the Nordic tour business and are not prepared to proceed with an announcement until the airline sale for the rest of the business is sorted out which likely means Fosun don't want that to happen without its offer for the entire business being accepted otherwise it could be very costly for Fosun if these steps happen in stages rather than in one phase. Only my view and I can only see the share price increase but then again I'm invested in this company for years and believe it's on the right path to turn itself around.

@Jedclampit I had the same thinking, brought 2k more today. Felt it was last chance before more media leaks or an RNS of course I could be out by a few weeks..

July is here and next week the big bucks roll in as traditionally the first two weeks of July are the biggest weeks of the year with schools off and families going on their long planned holiday.

@Amers The market only likes certainty so until we sell the Nordics business or the airline to reduce the debt burden the share price will remain at these low levels. Positive Q3 results which is what I'm hoping we're going to see will also have a less of a real impact until the current discussions are concluded.
