I think we are all somewhat frustrated and hopefully GL will learn not to give the market even loose or expected time frames unless he has a firm closing date. Reading the below may offer an insight to things....they secured the proposed deal at a time when debt was hard to come by, maybe just maybe there could be another suitor or better terms being discussed...

We started looking for debt finance or leasing solutions in March 2020 – not the most auspicious time – and whilst equity markets picked up in the summer, debt folk tend to be much more circumspect. We don’t like to count chickens before they have hatched but we would say that the environment for debt finance of development opportunities is vastly better now than it was even in September 2020. Funds and individuals can sit on their hands for so long before they start losing feeling in them. What we can say is that, of the great number of counterparties we spoke to, two potential industry partners, and four experienced debt investors have crawled over the field (and Angus) and none have had any problem with the technical or financial proposition other than the relatively small size of the deal and their readiness to do anything last year.

Angus Energy plc (AIM: ANGS) is pleased to announce, further to the RNS of 30 November, the Company, Saltfleetby Energy Limited and Aleph Energy Limited (“Aleph”) have appointed lawyers,
following the completion of technical due diligence.

Point is Aleph are happy with the deal and ANGS and in particular the geothermal that ANGS will shortly announce.
As someone has also just pointed out with gas prices rising it simply increases the already attractive economics SFB offer.

Hopefully not long now....

The only sensible reason for the delay in my mind is that, either a possible alternative or improved deal.
I think the point is Aleph stand to make a pretty penny from this and as GL alluded to the raise from their perspective is actually quite small, so any delay from their side seems unlikely.
Like most legitimate holders I would rather they just get this over the line pronto as it means SFB is a go.

Considering that all due diligence has been done and this is now just in the hands of lawyers for sign off and draw down any further extension would be disappointing. Hopefully Lucan will update us shortly...

Also as Copper dome is potentially the best asset be great to get that magnetic survey done as they ran out of time for that last year...

I note COPL were also due to complete finance ‘at the start of this week’ and have not as yet so it’s entirely reasonable in COVID times to see a slight lag in getting legal teams to do the paperwork....

I believe the opposite is true. The only valid reason this will not go through is if Lucan has agreed a more favourable deal elsewhere but I think this will go ahead as it aligns the interests of all parties.
No one knows but we will find out shortly...

That’s exactly my thinking and although I will likely be shouted down for this if they announced a placing to be fully funded for copperhead I think it would be rinsed through quickly and they would be immense interest. But WTFDIK....
Just have a read of the last RNS at RRR which basically says yeah placing but full steam ahead on all fronts...that’s what’s needed here.

With POO flying MSMN should be well up by now but being sluggish on achieving meaningful production updates is holding this back together with what seems lengthy delays between each drill. Considering the success of the last drill and the fact 3D seismic been done by Baja you would think they would get on with a drill on the next asset ASAP.

I guess I am just a bit frustrated I have great confidence in both the leader ship and the assets. I am just concerned we are spreading ourselves a bit thin without being fully funded. As soon as I get clarity on that will be adding.

I just want to know when we are drilling again as that is what will move us back up again...
