RE: Yep all looking good for Take off.12 Mar 2018 17:00
Well let’s see. I have given this some thought and the reality is that I and other genuine holders will probably be looking for an exit at some point but at what price and where then do we invest? This has been painful and I am less than entirely happy with GoT but I think there is a solution which might also deal with the slightly unusual position that Barrick have found themselves in. They have been negotiating a deal with GoT on behalf of a subsidiary whilst having a potential long term partner in the Chinese waiting in the wings. A neat solution might be for Barrick to offer us ACA shareholders one of its shares for every 2 ACA we currently own. They then sell 50% of what was ACA to the Chinese for Xbillion cash to reduce their debt (dealing with GoT at the same time). I for one would be a very happy long term holder of Barrick, I would stick with gold, benefit from future potential in Tanzania but spread my risk throughput Barrick portfolio. What do other holders think?
