Razza, the US budget saga is a routine now where one side holds out approving a budget as it tries to leverage funds and priorities. It is political theatre. I seem to remember there was no budget set one year some presidents ago and institutions were unable to pay government staff and so on. This is nothing new for the US, or the UK, or Europe, in fact anywhere where there is a government budget being negotiated. If you are hanging on this as proof of a collapse of western democracy, you're going to get very tired arms.

I think this is the story that is getting the pro Russian's on here so excited. It appears from other sources a huge air attack was launched but only a couple on missiles got through and only one principle target got hit, a chemical storage facility with material that could potentially be used in rockets. There are presently few internal munition production facilities in Ukraine as they would be prime targets so unless this material was due to be exported and used in other countries and then the new munitions shipped back in, it is difficult to see what the big strategic hit here is. And frankly, that was a lot effort and resources to end up hitting only one target. I can see why some here are so proud though, finally Russia hit something big enough to light up the night sky. But in context, this is a pi.ss poor effort and hundreds and hundreds of key Ukrainian targets remain untouched. Meanwhile Partisans have started to derail trains within Russia. This war is only going in one direction.

From the BoE down and across the states this ESG has been like a cancer. There is a slow awakening and a kick back going on in some quarters, but it as become as ingrained as net zero. Just a reminder. POLY is very heavy into ESG, very! There is no hint of a change or fiduciary being put ahead of wokism, and the consequences of go-woke-go-broke are beginning to show in the business world. So it will be interesting to see whether the business is more concerned with staying solvent and paying dividends to the shareholders, or more interested in 'looking' woke [for BlackRock's sake at least since they have a big holding and are all things woke]. My sources did tell me and in the end it turned out there was little will resulting all sorts of trouble and the assault on Kyiv being abandoned, multiple executions of soldiers refusing to fight and the whole advance from the east grinding to a halt and unable to dig in finally being pushed back. The only real gains made were by hired killers! The complete clock up at the start is well documented, cross references well with the sentiment I was told. So I might have been gun hoe about it ending quickly, but the information was very much on par!
