Many countries have pulled out and simply written of assets as a loss. POLY might be able to sell some assets but there is no doubt now must exit Russia. Note too, when Putin's empire finally collapses after defeat to Ukraine, there will be significant turbulence turning against the oligarch system. and another point to consider, whilst the company says it has sourced parts and consumables, they will run out and they will be far more difficult to source with continuing sanctions. The Russian operations will eventually become unworkable and mothballed anyway.

This is the bottom line. Either the mountain of bodies will continue to mount up until the Russian generals withdraw, or Putin is taken out and a new leader withdraws.

Some try to defend Russian actions, some try to explain away the Russian army of clowns. Russia was defeated 6 or 8 weeks ago. Maybe the delay in supplying the new weapons to the Ukrainians was misread as a weakness to be exploited. Well, they are arriving now and being deployed against a defeated army. Germany was defeated many months before the end of Hitler but carried on regardless. That is where we are now with Russia.

Kherson will be liberated first demonstrating the direction for the next few months until the whole south coast is liberated. Then on to Donbas and liberating all of the separatist territory. And then Crimea.

Everything is down to the Russians to call it off. The window over spring to sue for peace from the Russian side is gone, the west and nato is now settling in to a training and supply role, the concept of Ukraine giving up territory to the aggressor has disappeared from French, German and European narratives.

He will have been briefed, now, on the decrepit state of the Russian nukes (we've seen the appalling state of the conventional force) and be aware he has little to play with or threaten. He has to rely on talk shows on TV trying to big up non existent threats. Why were the nuclear power stations prime targets? Russia needs plutonium to replace depleted war hads and try and cobble together a new one for their old school ramjet that they are trying to pass of as new advanced technology.

Putin will have the full brief of the movement of US and UK subs positioning and going on long watch ready for the retaliatory strike. He will have been made aware of the state of maintenance and upgrade of the US and UK missiles and warheads. He has gone very quiet on the subject with good reason.

He might get a few western targets and do damage somewhat less than the shelling in Syria or Ukraine as a point, but there wouldn't be much left of the military and command and control structure on Russian turf. In that scenario, nato walks in unopposed.

Yes, after the invasion and Russia's unconditional surrender to nato forces, Russia should be put under either nato or UN administration as the country is broken up and Russia per se ceases to exist. Whether a western territory will be allowed to use the name, or the people previously aligned to that name would actually want to use it, remains to be seen. But as Prussia is no more, due to the persistent aggressive nature of Russia, Russia will be no more, same as with the nazi regimes Putin emulates so well. China will not help yo, it will be looking at huge ethnic like territories in the east to acquire.
