With regard to a switch being flipped, I've noticed a few more quite well followed Twitter accounts mentioning ENET recently. The ones with a few thousand followers who do it for a living and maybe do blogs etc, not the pump and dump clowns fortunately. Doesn't take many of their followers to buy on impulse and all of a sudden you've got a bit of a snowball effect as the price rises a bit and the hashtag becomes busier because there's nothing twitter peeps enjoy more than bragging about making money!

Yep half a penny higher at the mid tomorrow. Some lumpy delayed trades coming through again, it's so much better having decent volume..looking good again here

Skid I wonder if they push the results out as far as possible to give them (and us) more visibility and a better chance to say something more bullish? Mark is an experienced CFO and could knock results out easily should he want, so it must be a choice to leave it to the last imo. H2 21 is arguably the most important period in the companies history - they are due to be cash flow positive and there should be more progress and info on field trials and wider 5g deployment news. Just my thoughts anyway.. lovely to see some blue today and plenty of buying. I even managed to ramp another couple of mates into it this week!

Yep another 230k showing now. Nice to get 3/4 of a million shares traded on a quietish Monday with no news.

Presumably it wasn't a $1bn valuation back in 2017 and also not their flagship product. It was still good business for Ethernity even at $500-$1000 per card

Haha yes I must admit it's quite common to want to underestimate.. then you get a nice surprise if you're wrong. However I also can't stand the US style bluster and overconfidence that I come across so often in my industry, it drives me nuts.

Hi TL, I checked with a guy in my infra team who is a very experienced techy (the company I work for also has a market cap of over £40bn so he's got a decent calibre) .. he came back with that estimate although as you say this has been designed in collaboration so not an off the shelf solution like he was probably referencing. I still think well under $1k though.

I would lower your estimates when doing those sums - SmartNICs are in the $1-3k range and SoCs cost significantly less since they don't come with the full hardware of the card and ports. I'd pitch it somewhere in the $350-500 bracket, no harm in being conservative.

I think it sounds a bit like the sentient puddle argument, but we'll have to disagree on this one. Also might need to be careful what you wish for as I'm not sure of the regulatory rules behind the type of financing arrangement you're postulating. Unless anyone knows any dodgy lawyers in Panama I doubt we'll ever know who is behind the fund. I would very much like Ethernity to be cash flow positive though so that these types of deals weren't necessary in the first place though..

I'll tell you what's certain .. all this talk of who is behind the 5g fund is a waste of time that is completely unprovable anyway. Oh and I can guarantee there's an RNS next week - one confirming that all resolutions were passed at the EGM!

For me the Tarana news isn't far off a deus ex machina event as I was getting a bit concerned at the lack of news. It's "non 5g" (even though it's 3x faster than 5g..?) and looks to be very scalable and worth a significant amount to Ethernity over the next few years. It took me by surprise how long Ethernity have been working with them for and if this is a taster of things to come then we may see more of these long term collaborations coming to fruition this year. Clearly it validates much of what they have been saying that their tech is in demand and now being deployed. I'll have ben invested in Ethernity for 4 years this year .. reckon they'll send me a t-shirt?

TL I think longy is referring to the general sense that there's always something big on the horizon that somehow never quite materialises.. e.g from June 2018, almost 3 years ago -

"While the building of the infrastructure that was undertaken will have a direct effect on our profitability for the 2018 financial year, this is in support of managements philosophy to build the Company in 2018 so as to achieve the future growth in line with the anticipated market growth from 2019 onwards."

It's all very tantalising but I do agree that setting a timescale for your money can be a good thing. At every stage the company has been on the cusp of going big .. 2021 is the year it needs to happen otherwise we might still be saying "almost there" for the rest of our lives..
