Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Interesting, there has to be rhyme and reason for dampening expectations with each RNS, so I guess one day I will wake up with a stonking RNS which will blow me out of the water!!!
He supposedly dislikes shorters, so do you think he might be underplaying things to catch them out? Grasping at straws but with Nigeria short date just maybe? On the other hand only scrapped GCSE English (or equivalent) and not so good on short stories!!!
Funny you would say that Gecko! I went to the Doctors years ago for an earache; I came out and straight to the heart specialist! He was the only Doc I know who actually read my records. Was surprised I was still standing, breathing and running marathons, at the time!
My earache disappeared in seconds and was never treated!!!
Try another analogy lol
Rarely post but been in Cool for a long time and follow all the chat.
Deepest condolences Bob, dreadful news, may she rest in peace. Puts all this in perspective.
Well at least it is quiet without the 3 Amigos! They chat away together clogging the board; don't they get double pay on the weekend?! Should switch to lorry driving, especially if they get a deserved pay rise!
To their (the triumvirate) credit they're quite subtle with the occasional positive thrown in!
I think it is sentiment and impatience driving this down. Sadly Copl has been seen as a failure for so long that sentiment is against it. For people to buy into this deal we need more results which will then change sentiment, especially if we have more news to follow then investors can see the direction the company. Just maybe investors have only looked at the Nigeria position? Which at the end of the day would be a significant step the older investors might be focussed on. Well there's my thoughts, back to my quiet reading posts in background position. This and EUA are really testing my patience and increasing my alcohol intake. I keep saying Covid, as an excuse to my wife, when I promised that ' one day we'll be millionaires'.
Well a little disconcerting that division by a 100 is so difficult. I can picture MMs and Bankers etc holding their fingers out in front of them looking puzzled; sliding the Abacus across or repeatedly pressing the calculator. Ringing each other up to check they've got it right like naughty school kids scared to have got it wrong!
Slide that note across is to 2 decimal places or one? What do you make it? What if it doesn't divide exactly? Oh bu...er it I'll have a guess!
Perhaps we need consolidation. Then it would be harder to trade!
I also think this will turn soon; did a dummy sell for all my shares and would take them all. That has been rare in the not too distant past!
I guess when this dividend comes it will give a clearer picture of the value of the company (depending what is sold and left) and the share price will reflect that.
Funnily enough spoke to Mark the Brickie on my way to work at 7.15am ! Is that why your name is Haus?
Expectant news in Canada?
Well dreadful day today. Think sentiment is against us and AM's watch has stopped again and/or lost his diary. Everyone hoping for info today and none. He needs to be build a reliable reputation for the market, still think good news will come when he buys new batteries; it's that or otherwise it might hit Canada first. Just flying off to church as, at the moment this is on a wing and a prayer. Patience is a helluva virtue.
Well I think someone is accumulating these shares as I can sell all of my quite substantial holding; must say never been able to in the past. So will be patient and expect this to turn this afternoon or Monday, possibly Tuesday, maybe Wednesday, could be Thursday, if not probably Friday. Well sometime in the future as news lands!!!
It was also mentioned COPL were very generous to the previous owner in the price paid for the asset. That doesn't mean poor negotiation or in anyway an error. I'm sure there would have been other companies 'sniffing around' so to get this prized asset, it was better to be generous to secure the deal. Where were we a year ago?!!!!
I'm quietly confident that in a few months we will be in a much better position, even if we open lower than we hope. There's a lot to come, if the wind is in the right direction. Damn that little word 'if' leaves a nagging doubt!!!!
Well I've been in here for over 4 years but rarely contribute as better research done by others. Do you get the impression that upon resist there could be drips of events/info that could propel this share forwards? e.g. CUDA/CNOOC/Q2 results/increased output/ Nigeria/other acquisitions - some more definite than others but this is the start of a journey - when he muted the idea of dividends there must be confidence for the future. If he also has a cure for Covid I'd kiss his a**e right now!!
Don't forget it's not just Nigeria; what about the other companies involved with Wyoming? Will Art be buying out their share? One financially bust and the other has to sell? So lots to play for over the next few months!
Who are the warrants issued to? One hopes that despite our share value is diluted that the future is rosy as why take shares as payment or part payment for work done. Everything points to share value increase but the key is how much are they now worth? Also what news is yet to come and when?!
Waiting here and in EUA, be nice to get my hands on some profit - patient old game investing!
Call there very year (until covid) Franny!!
Looking forward to resisting - always have to be patient with this company! But think our CEO wants success so much and I think he can smell the coffee, after all these lean years. So am patient and expect a good year ahead!
