George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
why should anyone dispute their statement ? experience of Aim Oilers I guess. For example Ntog has made a loss for the last 5 years and will continue to make a loss for the next few years without a doubt. It has been claiming cash positive since 2012 and makes the same sort of statements as nop is now doing.
sean, what I"m saying is that aim companies say this all the time to give the impression of profitability. But in reality they are spinning you. They typically do not use an accepted definition of cash flow and typically leave out costs that should be accounted for. I've seen lots of companies do this when in fact they are hugely loss making. Ntog is a great example. Email Keith Bush and ask him what definition of cash positive is.
whenever an aim oiler says it's 'cash flow positive' you can be sure it's losing money. 500 bbls is an improvement here, but nop will be losing money for a long time to come. Will this bounce hold ?
who is PC ? They wanted Athena so they could offset tax losses on exploration against production. Fairly logical, but unfortunately they bought a lemon. anyway , looks like someone else derisking from today's RNS
tbh the bonuses aren't that much, but paying the board more than revenue for two years running is typical of what is wrong with these companies. Keith Bush is a nice guy, he's not a crook by any stretch of the imagination, but you do feel that with these guys their sense of entitlement gets in the way of how to run a business profitably.
TW again giving NOP a bashing today in his bearcast.
Just looking at the directors remuneration. 4 directors alone trousering approx.230K each. So the board pay was more than 2012 and 2013 revenues. And it will be probably 50% of 2014 revenues ! And that is not including bonuses This is one of the points that TW is making about NOP.
the roasting is on his 15th October bearcast on shareprophets website. to be fair on TW he has been calling more than a few correctly this year. regarding nop he openly admits he used to like the company, but changed his mind and has been calling them a pos since 40p. To be fair I am more than happy for people to change their minds, they actually do make the best forecasters. Anyway lets see. TW is calling a placing for NOP, time will tell.
and the decommissioning costs will probably rise further too. And the pump is still broken isn't it. sounds like it will never be fixed. What's not to like here
Kate took an absolute roasting from Tom Winnifrith yesterday
no doubt there will be bonuses all round though
Athena, broken pumps, lower oil flow than expected and double the decommission costs. looks like someone saw Trap coming. That big ass investor guy has lost a small fortune here
is it in such good shape ? Tom Winnifrith is predicting a placing. You might not like him but he can read a balance sheet.
surprised the SP didn't fall more
out @3.28. For a not bad profit. Just saying.
starting to look stronger here. might set a Limit order at 330, otherwise hold for divi
First heard "Rock me Baby" being played by Hendrix at Monterey. But it´s an old blues classic isn´t it ? Anyway, I see Winnifirith is still having pops at NOP. If I´m honest he´s making some points that I already knew. Namely that bbls/d is too low to be a sustainable Business.
Glad this bounced today, now Holding for the divi
quite a sell off at the end
rrrl, as i remember, the price dipped in the morning. So bought on the dip, squeeze an extra few percent
