Blencowe Resources: Aspiring to become one of the largest graphite producers in the world. Watch the video here.
I caught the end of a Jeremy Vine debate last week, and some ex cruise line worker was telling how all the empty plastic bottles end up discarded overboard. "It’s estimated that as much as 10% of the all the plastic produced every year ends up in our oceans. The United Nations estimates that for every square kilometre of ocean there are 46 000 pieces of plastic, killing over a million sea birds and tens of thousands of mammals and turtles every year. " They should make it law that biodegradable plastics should be used at sea. Biome! Wakey wakey!

Egm was today and a few iii members were there... http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?code=cotn:BIOM.L&display=discussion If anyone here is interested???
I agree on timescales for hyr, not sure about biom but atb, will have a look at VIY... you must be confident there too! Newblood, I've also took my eye off the ball here but check the iii board and you'll soon get up to speed if you filter through the doom-mongering going on! Good luck in sar, I see fag is posting there again so maybe another spike is due???
Good luck! I've seen many come here with puffed out chests only to disappear as the bio plastic dream slips away. But you've made a load here so you know it's all about banking those profits on the spikes and not banking on the long term promise. Yes? I've been out since the last .21 spike. Too many shares in issue, and no investor confidence. Though, there's always a fresh bunch of punters who'll come along and get mugged off on the green dream. Recycling still a better option IMHO, check out HYR one day. Wait though, still time to get in a bit cheaper. Atb
http://investing.thisismoney.co.uk/news/article/id/4437307/ Biome operating losses widen 3rd September 2012 08:15 | Biome Technologies PLC Operating losses at Biome Technologies rose to £1.1m in the six months to the end of June - up from £382,000 a year ago. Revenues fell to £7.5m from £10.4m and there was a pre-tax loss of £1.3m against a profit of £116,000 a year ago. Chairman John Standen said: "Whilst there is some reduction to the turbulence seen in the marketplace in the second quarter, overall demand remains subdued in Europe in comparison to 2011. "The board views this as a one or two year pause in the growth of legislatively derived markets, particularly for the plastic bags market. "However, Biome continues to progress with new products and technologies to improve its future prospects and develop new markets. "It is particularly encouraging to see a number of these technologies at an advanced stage on the path towards commercialisation." At 8:15am: (LON:BIOM) share price was -0.01p at 0.08p

Lol... don't worry, I rarely gamble. But Bolt was an obvious and knew the form Wiggo and Brownlee were in. I think aim should have it's own form of GA tbh, just as addictive but ten times as destructive if you get into spreadbetting! Is biom worth a punt yet?
Well that was an easy £2.5g! Did anyone see my tip on the 14th? "How 'bout an Olympic accumulator: Usain Bolt 4/6. 100m Brad Wiggins 13/8. Time trial Alistair Brownlee. 10/11. Triathlon much safer bet I reckon..." Well, when I got to bookies I added Bolt in 200m for 8/1 so my £300 returns £2800. Sorry, just had to mention it.
Good luck you crazy aim gamblers! I thought this would've gone crazy on any pos news re pat lit. It probably shows the lack of confidence in the bod as pi's have had the stuffing kicked out of them over the last however long? How 'bout Olympic accumulator: Usain Bolt 4/6. 100m Brad Wiggins 13/8. Time trial Alistair Brownlee. 10/11. Triathlon much safer bet I reckon...
http://www.edisoninvestmentresearch.co.uk/monthlybooks/JuneInsight210612.pdf Page 36 "Bioplastics activity is being adversely affected by less onerous adoption of biodegradeable plastics regulations, particularly in Europe (perhaps a 1 year delay). The Biotec joint venture has been most directly affected, with some impact on wholly owned bioplastics operations too. RF trading has been in line with management expectations year to date. The deferred adoption causes us to withdraw forecasts and has lead to a cost reduction programme pending greater market clarity." I think the only positive I've seen here lately is the loan facility being extended to 2014. I've seen better companies delisted from aim with less problems. A contract win or the pat lit sorted and pi sentiment could still see create a serious spike in sp before they realised what they were buying into. Something still under wraps here I think, watching on the sidelines, finger nowhere near the buy button just yet. Aimho :-)

Brown will leave on or before November 30 to pursue other interests. The facility, first put in place in May 2011, was extended to May 2014. It provides access to additional working capital funding for the company's subsidiary, Biome Bioplastics, to support its growth.

Blimey, you've changed your tune since your April 27th!!! How did you get out with a small profit? Sp 0.0016 "BIOM is a speculative play for me. As I bought in super low (at break even right now),happy to watch the share bounce up and down and take my profit on a decent spike. Which, crappy bod aside, I still think will happen. Environmental zeitgeist will carry this up at some point. Am I looking for 1p? No way. 0.4p = 140% profit. Happy days. Confident that I will get that within 12 months. If not, will hold in drawer"
Is that a 13m sell at the end? Looks like it to me. That's interesting if it is... Ffs where is everyone??? Good posts from yo blair and optomust on iii if any one is interested. Markets screwed atmo but some great ops out there IMHO. I'm looking at a re entry here, can't resist. Somebody please talk me out of it!!!
Thanks for posting that, 08:20. Interesting stuff. Not surprised at the response, or lack of it, from biome. Also, there's alot more to bio plastics than some may think. Not sure if you saw these two links I posted a while back, they may be of interest? http://www.manuelmaqueda.com/2011/06/22/the-bioplastic-labyrinth/ http://m.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/apr/26/waste.pollution?cat=environment&type=article Nobody commented on them as I guess everyone here believes in the green thing with blinkers on. Geckoman "Risk vs reward: both are potentially very high here. You pays your money and takes your choice." In a nutshell. :-) atb.
