Just got in and the dreaded 'no reason for movement RNS'! Well, people were gambling with their money on no research and buying into a dreadful company with an awful track record. Don't want to say it serves you right. So I won't. But I just did I guess...!
Is this a case of 'sell on news'? Good news too?
Good luck to all invested here, it's been a long road with some nasty surprises. I have no idea why this is rising like it is, so I'm steering clear. Have traded this share up until it dropped from 0.0021 and have not touched it since as I consider myself lucky to have made money on every trade! Not many done that here eh? Anyway, I hope it continues to climb. I really do. I've been rather negative up until the criminal share consolidation/buy out was announced, but will keep my opinions to myself from now on. :-) Will be watching with interest though...
I've been rather negative towards Biome over the past 12 months or so, usually when people came on saying what a bargain this share was at 3-4 x's what it was before this latest fiasco. Where are they now? I wondered what was keeping the sp above 0.06p, and now we now. Real price, as 'sherb' said earlier is around 0.04p They ain't kidding anyone anymore...
By StockMarketWire | Thu, 25/04/2013 - 08:28 Biome Technologies reports total group revenues of £0.4m for the first three months of the year. This is down from £4.6m a year ago, including contributions from Biotec. Biome says it anticipates performance this year will be second half weighted and consequently expects sales growth to increase in both divisions as the year progresses. The group said its cash position at 31 March was £5.8m (31 December 2012: £6.3m). A trading update says: "We continue to make progress with the strategy, as set out at our full year results, to commercialise and develop wholly owned intellectual property. and our performance remains in line with the board's expectations."
I said the update needed to be good else this would drop more. This has dropped to it's lowest ever sp today and no signs of a recovery that I can see. You holders may as well hang in there now I guess? Does nobody care about the points I raised a few weeks back? Don't just buy the green dream, look at the co, the bod, the desperate history. The freekin' shares in issue!
Biome Technologies plc announces its Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 December 2012. Highlights · Following the sale of 50% stake in Biotec, the Bioplastics Division is focused on developing high margin, application led products with enhanced level of functionality. Key projects include work on single use foodservice products and single use coffee capsules · Cash position at 31 December 2012 was £6.3m · Stanelco RF had another profitable year - notable achievements include the award of a development and supply contract with Durapipe during the year. Paul Mines, Chief Executive, said: "2012 has been a year of significant change for the Group. We have responded quickly to adverse legislative changes in the European markets and the sale of our stake in our joint venture Biotec so that the Group is able to truly commit to its strategy to commercialise and develop its wholly owned intellectual property. We are encouraged to see a number of our technologies at an advanced stage towards commercialisation in both the Bioplastics and Stanelco RF businesses."
7 trading days until update I believe? Needs to be a good 'un else this will drop more. Plenty of gossip on iii which is where you need to be if you're thinking of investing. Forums don't always paint a clear picture, terrible places when penny shares are spiking or plummeting, but some good investors there who've been conned by Mines out of their hard earned and ready to point out the pitfalls aplenty.
5,885 million shares in issue! (No, it's 0.0011 pence not 11p!) An incompetent bod who gave biotec away for peanuts. A bod that line their own pockets but don't buy shares in the company. A great idea but expensive to produce when recycling is still a better option. And other companies out there doing similar but better without diluting the sp to the point of extinction. Happy to hear any positives. Aimho.
"What really happened?" Have you just woke up? Lol! Well, apart from the Parkinson's Drug trial showing no benefit!!! analysts are writing this kind of stuff; "Analyst Paul Cuddon at Peel Hunt said the result was a conclusive failure for Phytopharm's key asset, and he attributed no value to the group's remaining pipeline of drugs."
Been away for a while. Not a lot to get excited about here which is probably why Mines is sowing seeds elsewhere. I keep watching here but with more of a morbid curiosity than a patient investor opportunity. I'm all for buying oversold unloved stocks with hidden potential but with all them there shares in issue, I'm avoiding like an asbestos ceiling!
