Buy at sub .15, sell at .20 and that's as much as you can hope for here. Pi's still getting 'greenwashed' here but companies do get de-listed so beware. IMHO. Cashburn an issue, incompetent bod and issue, patent lit' an issue, shares in issue an issue! Any body got anything positive to say apart from oil prices going up and everybody needs biodegradeable?
Does anyone here know the answers to these questions? How compostable are Biome's products? And are there any time frames for complete dissintegration on there web site or in public domain? Obviously, biodegradeable and compostable are two different things and there are many chemicals involved and some can be quite toxic which is a huge question mark hanging over the biodegradeable 'greenwashing' that companies and also pi's are falling for. Be nice to get some serious discusion on here instead of "this is a great share!" "oh no it isn't!" banter. We could also mention the squillion shares in issue if you like... The constant seller... The patent litigation... Etc. Please don't shout at me taj.
I believe this is the article, posted by 'the wee elf' over in iii starting from second paragraph. http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail/?display=discussion&code=cotn%3ABIOM.L&it=le&action=detail&id=9515012 A somewhat more informed bb on this share, many long suffering 20p + members. It all sounds great at first glance, but why is it sub .0020p?
" ...a significant reduction in operating 'loss' is anticipated." Could be better though, 'loss' is a very key word here! And what about the ongoing patent litigation? And... with funds a- dwindling, surely not another dilution on the horizon? Sorry to dampen the positive 'ish' news but a severe kick up the bium is needed to move this and I can't see it myself. What you lot reckon as I'm completely fecked off with aim and hardly researching anything. Still check for rns' every morning but the constant carp on lse just makes me realise what a bunch of numpties are here. "up we go!!!" " buys flooding in" "buys at full ask" " they want your shares"... Fu ck off!
RNS Number : 8058V Biome Technologies PLC 19 January 2012 19 January 2012 Biome Technologies plc ("Biome" or "the Group") Pre-close Trading Statement Biome Technologies plc, the bioplastics and RF technology business, is providing a pre-close trading statement for the financial year ended 31 December 2011 ahead of the announcement of the audited Preliminary results. Whatever you do, don't look at the final trade on Friday because it will ruin your w/end! Mind you, AST was getting dumped big time over the last few months then 'boom' Friday morning. Maybe biome are just giving the Market the bare minimum in news flow so they can buy van loads at .10 then announce their positions/ pat lit sorted/ tesco deal? Anybody bought lloyds yet? That's had a worse 2011 than biome I guess? Funny old game this...

Paul Mines has been quoted on iii somewhere saying 'there is no shareholder value until this case is settled,,,' or something like that? http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail/?display=discussion&code=cotn%3ABIOM.L&threshold=0&pageno=4&it=le Check out a discussion on iii 'biome court case' 26.10.11 for some pi thoughts. My head tells me, with the squillion shares in issue, (ie, loads of dilution by incompetent bod!) that I should steer well clear, but the gambler in me says a punt at sub .15 or even lower! has to be worth a shot! Not holding at moment, I've joined the masses and dump everytime I see a 15-25% rise. Or even 10% sometimes... Please let us know your conclusions. Atb.
Many problems to tackle here I'm afraid, the patent litigation a very large hurdle IMHO. But, the jury is still out on biodegradable plastics on the whole as this old article illustrates... http://m.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/apr/26/waste.pollution?cat=environment&type=article and also this one... http://www.manuelmaqueda.com/2011/06/22/the-bioplastic-labyrinth/ if a big company jumped onboard, I think sentiment would drive this to a penny plus but, not looking great atmo. Mind you, aim looks fooked in general if you ask me, risk/reward is about the same as betting on the favourite at Cheltenham... that's why I'm only holding 2 stocks and as soon as they spike, I'm ooot!

Well, looks like they've found the answer to the biodegradable problems in Arfentina! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-15505130
Hope this comes up with some thing to underpin the crumbling sp soon for all holders. I'm waiting for a buy price but will wait for something concrete ie patent litigation resolved, before I'd even consider a sub .15 buy. I can't believe it but loe has given a sell rec on this over on iii!!!
