Firstly Debs doesn't have a debt mountain. Maybe go and compare Debs RCF to ASOS overall debt.

Secondly Debenhams doesnt have a retail estate, why on earth would you imply that it does.

Debenhams has grown massively, Karen Millen has returned to profitability and the youth brands still have massive social media followings. so they are hardly in the state that Woolworths, BHS and Body Shop were.

Looking at the actual trade prices there is no reason for this fall at all

It failed like the other two and wasn't nearly as loved a brand as Woolworth. I'd put BHS and Debenhams on a par as far as brand goes.

Woolworths failed because it's product set was wrong and BHS failed because its proposition was shoddy. So they had nothing like the brand power that Debenhams has.

It's surprising that you remain invested if you think Debenhams brand is anything like Woolworths or BHS.

The sp action on the day of the BTC treasury RNS was very strange, with the SP touching 1.7p briefly, which I think was manufactured to let a lot of shares churn.

Pi shares I guess will be sticky for a while, so there will be some churn but not massively so I'd guess

Not sure that is true Hexam.

It depends if the business case behind the market place is customer acquisition or share of wallet.

I'd guess they have the customer data to be able to determine the amount of cannibalisation, which I'd guess is low.

I'd guess that the core aim is to drive more purchases from brand loyalists.

We know on average customers shop roughly three times per year and spend £50 or so. If that average can be brought up to say £70, then the business case makes a lot of sense.

It's unproven at the moment whether customers will buy things from our market places that they are currently buying elsewhere. The market place model only works if the core brands remain popular and that, for the youth brands, remains to be seen

In Debenhams, one of the UK's best loved brands. And the ability to move back into bricks and mortar.

It already has bricks and mortar presence with the franchise agreement in the Middle East, which should give an easy blue print.

A far better debt position than ASOS.

A test and repeat model that is far more advanced than ASOS
