What about my statement isn't true Hexam
They made £38m profit in 2024. Di minimis would have cost them £200m.
Therefore their loss would have been more than £160m, assuming their current business model.
So, contextually, it just shows how their current business model isn't sustainable if they have to play on a level field.
The rest of the western world is starting to act on this, the UK government hopefully will as well.
What part of what I said isn't totally true Hexam?
Shein made a £38m profit in 2024. Di minimis would have cost £200m. So Shein would have made a loss of more than £160m with their current business model.
The point is contextual, in that their current business model isn't sustainable if they have to play on a level field.
Increasing their prices significantly, which they would have to do and have done in the US, would enable a far healthier potential revenue figure for us.
