Conditions precedent has a long stop date of September. Wonder how long it will take to get all the necessary approvals complete and whether that will slow any information coming out that must surely be a bit of backlog by now.

Well - looks like it will soon play out either way. Market must have priced in the merger already but I am really not sure. Half expecting a stonking crash on the amalgamation which will either be the time to go private or hit some news. Really can't call it but my gut says this is going to do something soon

Totally agree but what have of BNG to this point. Lots of promise but the company themselves highlight that market cap it underpinned by NAV which is mostly the shallows. If BNG continues to drag, which I think it won't, then we will likely not have a proportionate increase in NAV but with a tonne more shares in issue. So all points to news. Clive mentioned transformational news to come, a strong phrase on AIM. I hope it is for the good as I am long.

No chance of news until the merger approval. All squared at a set price per share for valuation purposes. I'd imagine they will need to hit some news very quickly or the sp will be goosed. Massive dilution by the back door as a result, I can understand the point that would serve anyone

Well I certainly would not want to invest in an onshore conventional play that is already near to major infrastructure in that case. That would be stupid. Maybe better to invest in some ultra deep water prospect.

In a few weeks the merger will hopefully be closed - clarity is on the horizon either way. E1 I still don't understand why anyone would sit on here typing crap when not invested. Seems like an odd past time for such a successful person.

Really hoping for a turnaround in news once march is out the way. Easy share to get down on but if we do not get news flow commencing in q2 this really is a stinker.

Personally I think the name change is part of this to shake off the rxp stigma and reset the clock in a fickle market. Time will tell but I hope it plays out well

Because he is the company, from a shareholding point of view, and it is no skin from the companies nose if the share rises or they have opted for debt versus equity or vice Versa. One major thing is that they have funding without a regular cash outflow which will allow more operational cash for development. Not sure what you are actually talking about. As a lender he would have prior rights as on a loan but versus shares upside is far better but downside is nothing - there has been no mention of a different class of share at anything akin. Do you have other thoughts? The one major thing at the back of my mind is if BNG turns out to be folly this will turn out to be major dilution by the back door.

Also, Clive must have read the naked trader. He dropped transformational in there a few times. Can't recall him using that in any rns reports before

Does anyone think that the name change could be linked to potentially improved investor relations now the other partners will be involved? As most of the increase market cap comes from BNG poor performance and coms will cause a dramatic drop in share price.

Mr E - do you know of any company Clive is invested in? I understand the acts as chairman for a number so buying in one may mean he has to buy in all. I know he is also involved with AST but I cannot find any record of investment there either. Interested by your input.

Nope - they are in no rush. Even after the merger gets approval, whenever that is, there will be not rush. Hit snooze until end of q2 start q3 imo

Do we think this merger if already priced by the market? All in absence of ops update
