You cant take the US % as being our start as some of that drop was taken in tandem with the UK. You need to check the movement from our close, so 11.30 (but use 11.34 with the UT) to there close, that in effect is the UK post market movement. So 11.34 it was 9.45 and closed at 9.48, so approx 0.3% up post UK close

Definitely a strange one, why position for another place on the board at 25% if they weren't looking to add to their position. And if they are looking to add its surely at a price that would be attractive to them.

Also we ended up down 1.65% against the FTSE being 1% down. so, it's not as doom and gloom as you make out Jax. I reckon we could have a bit of positive news from the debt ceiling overnight which will help the markets recover slightly, so i'm going for a 0.5% to 1% increase tomorrow.

Not really, on their own they can't get to a decent Return on Capital. but as part of a merger that Return on Capital would be better, EG its not x2 investment but broadly speaking its x2 Earnings, so the ROCE becomes materially better than the cost of capital.

Its cash accretive, debt going down, Profits good for a mcap we have. So no i dont think there is a chance we go bust anytime soon, but showing no signs of a movement up on the SP anytime soon. You have to think E& are looking at this SP as an opportunity to get to 25%.

Plus cant see them letting there multi billion investment go to waste, and be broken up and sold off in a fire sale, they would surely go and do a full takeover.

Looks like we start tomorrow with a 0.5% deficit based on US price post our close. So no not hopeful we'll see green tomorrow

Yeh last 2 days have been one's to forget, not sure we've seen the end of the slide. US will probably continue downwards which gives us a hill to climb in the morning. I was 10% up at one point 😢. Has a bad feeling on the slide before results day but thought it can't be that bad

I know its closed and its a bit after the horse is bolted but at the moment only good news is going to make any gains here, whereas we are down 1.8% on nothing today, so unless E& buy this fabled 5% soon this share price looks to be heading lower.
